Image used for 4.0 -> 5.0 (Build 50000) transition
by Torsten Bergmann Aug. 31, 2015

Aug. 31, 2015

Which Pharo 4 image was used to create Build initial Pharo 5 image (build 5000)? According to the mailinglist archive from April [1] it seems to be build 40608. I wonder since in build 50000 the desktop manager works and in the Pharo 4 image 40608 it is not working. Was there anything applied special during the release process? Thanks T. Interesting Morphic improvement
by Stephan Eggermont Aug. 31, 2015

Aug. 31, 2015

Marcel Taeumel has made a lot of improvements to Morphic Squeak. This looks like an interesting one for us. I tried it in 50292 (making the changes in the right order) haven't found a problem yet. Stephan Marcel Taeumel uploaded a new version of Morphic to project The Trunk: http://source.squeak.org/trunk/Morphic-mt.900.mcz ==================== Summary ==================== Name: Morphic-mt.900 Author: mt Time: 19 April 2015, 11:27:22.653 am UUID: 950b4378-f3fe-db4c-b054-88b646a1feb0 Ancestors: Morphic-mt.899 Fix to avoid unnecessary layout computation for proportional layout. Nautilus and Work group
by Torsten Bergmann Aug. 31, 2015

Aug. 31, 2015

Nautilus in Pharo 5 now includes per default a group "Configuration" and "Work". But one has to manually put new work into the "Work" group. Would it make sense to put newly created packages automagically into this group as typically one is working on them?

[issue tracker] many issues marked "fixed upstream"
by Marcus Denker Aug. 31, 2015

Aug. 31, 2015

Hi, We have again many issues that are in the state âfixed upstreamâ. it would be nice if maintainers of packages could make sure that changes get reviewed+integrated and the package updates in Pharo so we can close them. There is nothing gained by postponing this sync back. Marcus
