CI Build order and strange "latest" Pharo 7 effect

Hi, today there was an interesting effect visible for the Pharo build on CI for Pharo 7: Esteban merged three contributions for Pharo 7 into #development (see [1]). All three merges on git triggered the CI. For each a separate build for Pharo 7 started on CI independently. While usually one would expect the builds in regular build order 183, 184, 185 the CI job for building 185 job was faster (as you can see on the attached screenshot). So the 185 series of images was copied first to the file server [3] because the job was already finished. Afterwards 183 build completed on CI and these images were copied to the file server with a newer timestamp. So you have the order 185, 183 with 183 having the files with the newest timestamp (but not being the most recent state of Pharo). This leads to several unfortunate effects: 1. When you sort on file server [3] descending by date the build 183 images are newer than the build 185 images 2. When you use PharoLauncher to download "latest-32" you get an 183 image instead of the "real latest" 185 image 3. When you ask Zeroconf to download the latest using http://get.pharo.org/70+vm you also get 183 instead of the already available 185 So as the CI build of an older "update" (here 183) finished later than the most recent version (here 185) you get 183 as "latest" instead of 185. Any ideas how we could avoid such a side effect? Maybe a chain on the builds so 183 has to finished before 184 and 185 could be built? Thx T. Zerconf download of source files in Pharo 7

When I run wget -O- get.pharo.org/70+vm | bash the zeroconf script downloads image bundle, VM bundle and sources archive: -------------------------------------------------------------------- Downloading the latest 70 Image: http://files.pharo.org/get-files/70/pharo.zip Pharo.image Downloading the latest pharoVM: http://files.pharo.org/get-files/70/pharo-linux-stable.zip pharo-vm/pharo Downloading PharoV70.sources: http://files.pharo.org/get-files/70/sources.zip Creating starter scripts pharo and pharo-ui ... -------------------------------------------------------------------- Now in Pharo 7 the pharo.zip already includes the sources. Right? See attached screenshot. So why is the zeroconf additionally downloading the sources.zip which IMHO is an unnecessary additional download now. Maybe because it was necessary in the past and the zeroconf was not adopted. Anyone able to check and maybe remove the additional download for Pharo 7? Thx T.

Engineer Position 1 year INRIA RMoD are looking for a full-time engineer for helping with developing Pharo in the context of IoT.The focus of this job is "Pharo on embedded and mobile devices for the internet of things" With Pharo, we have developed over the last two years an interactive, remote development environment. It allows embedded, headless software running on typical raspberry pi class hardware to be developed and debugged in an interactive way. It allows programmers to explore and change running headless embedded programs from their desktop development machine. The next step will be to extend this infrastructure to cover the use case of industrial use: Deployment. We want to build a middle-ware to manage, authenticate and script deployed Pharo embedded installations. The engineer will help to develop the Pharo IoT infrastructure, especially with a focus on industrial use: Â·I mprove Pharo for a platform with an industrial focus. Â· Work on a middleware to manage deployed Pharo instances. Â·Realize two small demos: First, as an industrial IoT example, a demo deployed on 20+ devices. Demo 2: Pharo deployed on multiple mobile autonomous robots. Â·Help with creating a website for PharoIOT. We are looking for a candidate with some prior experience with Pharo. Pharo 64 bit vm segmentation fault on garbageCollect

Hi, I got a few times the following crash while using the latest Pharo 64 bit image (Pharo64-60513) with the latest vm (pharo-mac-x86_64-201710101955-47390dc) on Mac OS. The image is around 3.5GB when the crash happens. Management of ctrl + shift in windows

Hi, I have a weird problem on Windows and shortcuts. For the context I use a keyboard which is not of the AZERTY/QWERTY layout but BÃPO.[1] I have a problem with the fact that some `ctrl + shift + ?` shortucts does not works. But some works. For example in Nautilus I cannot do a format (`ctrl + shift + f`) or a debug it (`ctrl + shift + d`). In the other hand, in Spotter I can drill down a category with `ctrl + shift + ->`. If I use the AZERTY layout I do not have this problem. I tried to use the KeyPrinterMorph and to do the format shortcut. Here is the result: BÃPO: - Key SHIFT_L code: (65505) - Key CONTROL_L code: (65507) - Key F code: (70) AZERTY: - Key SHIFT_L code: (65505) - Key CONTROL_L code: (65507) - Key F code: (70) So this is the same key events. I don't have the knowledge and the time to investigate this.
