Make TextModel by default for text, not code

I was looking at https://pharo.fogbugz.com/f/cases/edit/15237/Spec-TextModel-for-plain-text and it seems that we have (at least ) three different menus. TextEditor class>>yellowButtonMenu (TextModel for editing text) â âSmalltalkEditor class>>yellowButtonMenu (default TextModel, for code) â RubSmalltalkCodeMode class>>menuOn: (Playground) â Since we have already disabled code completion in TextModel some time ago I would propose to set TextEditor's menu by default, and have the Code one only explicitly (through #beForCode which would also enable the default codeCompletion). Shortcuts interestingly work even without the menu, so it shouldn't break people's workflow (e.g. you could still inspect things and so forth). Anyone has any objections? Peter

Halt in startup?

When I took the latest 50 Pharo5.0 Latest update: #50152 I get a Halt. DoIt ^ StartupPreferencesLoader default executeAtomicItems: {StartupAction name: 'Self halt' code: [ self halt ]. StartupAction name: 'WS' code: [ Workspace open ]} I wonder if I did something special to activate it. Stef

Playground shift yellow menu throws MNU

Hi, TextModel allows for right (yellow) click menu with shift which gives another menu. Now Playground (which uses Rubric) throws GLMRubricSmalltalkTextModel(Object)>>doesNotUnderstand: #shiftMenu. (called from RubEditingArea>>lookupShiftMenu) I would expect either adding new shifted menu, or disabling this feature. Peter

you can save the image with the shortcut cmd+shift+s the shortcut action is: [ Smalltalk snapshot: true andQuit: false. UIManager default inform: 'Image saved' ] Save the image and show a notification. If you do this shortuct, the image is saved and you'll see the notification - ok. If you close the image, without saving again and open the image again, it starts with showing this notification again. How can this work? The notification was sent after the image was saved.

Spur: Provide a limit to the size of old space on Spur. Access maxOldSpaceSize via vmParameterAt: 67 & command line parameter -maxoldspace. In our quest to remove PluggableTextMorph :)

Hi as you saw we mainly Frank helped by Alain started a fight against PluggableTextMorph and started to replace PluggableTextMorph with Rub equivalent. It will help us also to migrate to Bloc. We have rewriten Workspace, TestRunner is on its way. So we will replace soon the old Workspace with a new ones (with most features kept - we just did not keep the broken ones). Stef and Franck
