Hi all, I'm pleased to announce the release 0.1 of Garage, a database driver API. Garage is meant to be a common interface to access several database servers, in a JDBC style. The current version works in Pharo3 and Pharo4 and includes drivers for: - mysql (pure smalltalk) - postgres (pure smalltalk) - sqlite (using ffi) - opendbx (allowing connecting with several db vendors, using ffi) We have a nice test suite (that maybe you can help to enlarge) that is tested every day in Jenkins [1]. Also, in garage's website [2] you'll find - installation instructions - basic usage - documentation of features such as statements, transactions, cursored fetches. - issue tracker, backlog and other information Feedback (and contributions) are very welcome! Proportional layout philosophy?

Hi, I want to change the size of my nautilus plugin, as I donât need it always to be as big as it is by default and it takes too much space. But as soon as I use #hight: to change the hight, it gets set back. I guess itâs done by the layout, but Iâm not sure, as putting halt somewhere in layout methods means killing your image. Maybe someone is familiar with this? Uko

Hi, in all versions of Roassal I could as an element in which view it is. But it looks like Roassal-Woden doesnât have this API. Is there a different philosophy? Uko

Genie plugin strikes back!

Just cloning pharo-vm repo on windows 7, got this: error: unable to create file mc/VMMaker.oscog.package/GeniePlugin.class/instance /primSameClassAbsoluteStrokeDistanceMyPoints.otherPoints.myVectors.otherVectors. mySquaredLengths.otherSquaredLengths.myAngles.otherAngles.maxSizeAndReferenceFla g.rowBase.rowInsertRemove.rowInsertRemoveCount..st (No such file or directory) :( i suspecting windows refuses to create a file because its name is too long? any ideas? -- Best regards, Igor Stasenko.
