Competitive selection 2015 : young graduate scientist ("CR2") Inria is launching a round of competitions to recruit seventeen young graduate scientists. Theses positions will be allocated as follows: two positions at Grenoble, Lille, Nancy, Rennes, Rocquencourt, Saclay and Sophia-Antipolis research centres and three positions at Bordeaux research centre. Registration conditions ================== Registration for the young graduate scientist competition begins on 26 January 2015. The following may apply: â¢ Holders of a doctorate or equivalent degree; â¢ Applicants able to prove publications and scientific work deemed equivalent. There are no age limits or nationality requirements for the recruitment of young graduated scientists. It looks like the following script started failing within the last 5 days sometime: wget --quiet -O - get.pharo.org/travis+vm | bash getting this error (on ubunutu12.04): Fetched 18.5 kB in 4s (4,028 B/s) Reading package lists... Monospaced font

And no, I do not want to restart the discussion of the (lack of) qualities regarding such fonts. It is just not clear to me how to get hold of a font. It seems like at the one hand it is all 'Bitmap deja vu sans regular'. In the settings browser I can pick all kinds of fonts, but it is unclear how I get a reference to them as I do not want to install the font as default or code fonts, but just need to apply the font to a few words in a Text object. If I try to ask for StrikeFont for say 'Courier' I get 'Bitmap deja vu sans regular'. Where is the magic hidden? A perhaps related question is if one can apply subscript and superscript to the regular Text attributes - I have not been able to find that either. Installing Pharo on Ubuntu

I have a new computer and installed Ubuntu 14.10 on it. When I tried to install Pharo using the PPA instructions, it failed. I get the following message when executing "sudo apt-get update": W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/pharo/stable/ubuntu/dists/utopic/main/binary-amd64… 404 Not Found W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/pharo/stable/ubuntu/dists/utopic/main/binary-i386/… 404 Not Found I was able to get Pharo running with the Zeroconf script, but I thought I'd report that the standard thing didn't work. Some debugger vars incorrectly displayed as nil

Hi, some from time to time some variables are shown in the debugger as nils, despite the fact that they are not (if you inspect them you get a value). Is it a known issue? By the way in âall temp varsâ itâs displayed fine, Iâll add screenshots: Uko

About AST instance variable naming

Hi today during a lecture I was quite surprised to see the name of the AST variables. There is no easy way to see that a variable is a position in the text or a subtree. Example RBValueNode subclass: #RBArrayNode instanceVariableNames: 'left right statements periods' classVariableNames: '' category: 'AST-Core-Nodes' RBValueNode subclass: #RBBlockNode instanceVariableNames: 'left right colons arguments bar body scope' classVariableNames: '' category: 'AST-Core-Nodes' Annoying because you have always to think (yes I know I'm stupid not knowing by heart the tree structure) to know if you get a tree under your fingers. We can definitively better in terms of code habilitability. We cleaned the visitor and since then the code is much much much better. 14616 Package Tags causing Monticello merge conflict

I just produced a rough proof of concept to fix this issue. Its not ready to integrate because I don't grasp the architecture. I just hacked and smashed around with the debugger until it worked. It ended up needing only two methods modified, so hopefully it nicely defines the problem for a knowledgeable person to produce a proper solution. About a dozen small issues (e.g. renaming packages) are dependent on this, so can anyone help out? cheers -ben

Spotter idea - exclusion filter and google search syntax

Just a random idea for Spotter, being able to exclude items from the search using a hyphen/minus sign. I don't have a use case right now, but it "feels" right, so maybe one will turn up soon. Its a broadly used paradigm per google search ( https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7190?hl=en) Also, it would be useful to be able to search on multiple terms similar to a regular web search. A slightly contrived use case is that I want to investigate drag handling of morphs. So I guess entities will have the word "drag" and then maybe "handler" or "handle" but in which order? Will it be #dragHandler or #handleDrag or #handleEventDrag or #handlesMouseOverDragging: ? A single search term restricts me to having to guess and manually retry each possible order. Searching on "drag hand" and getting all possible ordering would be real nice. cheers -ben
