Hi, As some of you know, Iâm on vacations in Buenos Aires. Last days I was talking with the other Esteban of this list and with Hernan about doing a Pharo meeting to talk about the upcoming Pharo3 and wellâ¦ to socialise a bit :) It cannot be a true sprint or formal event because my times are complicated (also Iâm on holidays!) but is good to meet anyway and exchange impressions and news. Anyway, it will be friday 18hs to 20:30hs, in this place: http://www.cervelar.com.ar (in the Belgrano location). PharoVM on Windows & Code::Blocks for debugging

I'd like to know if someone managed to get Code::Blocks to work with the MinGW configuration. I've the build running from the command line. I can also configure C::B to use makefiles. Now, there seems to be some glitches and was curious to know if someone had a working setup. (Yes, one can use gdb in the command line mode, but it is ugly. And TUI doens't work on Windows). There are many interesting pieces of code in the Windows platform code. And I'd like (at one point) to have a real headless Pharo.exe There are also the pieces to get the Pharo.exe run as a service natively. I've been studying this with SourceNavigator and done basic gdb work. But for larger work, I'd like to have a decent IDE. NOTE: my email appears to bounce on the vm-dev list, please someone help me sort that out. Phil

Will Nautilus scrolling bug be fixed for Pharo 3.0 release?

Occasionally, when I use my trackpad to scroll through my classes (the 2nd column in the Nautilus window), the package pane starts scrolling (1st column) even though the cursor has never moved outside of the left-and-right bounds of the 2nd column. I looked in read-only Pharo-issue tracker via Penelope http://bugs.pharo.org/ in the Cases for UI to see if someone had already reported this but found that the last post there was March 2013. Although I'm trying to learn enough to be able to contribute, I think fixing this is out of my reach for now. I inspected the Nautilus class but got stuck trying to see how mouseMoved events were sent and handled to the Nautilus window. Do you think this will be fixed for the Pharo 3.0 release? - Marco A. Hi guys. Maybe someone can help me before I waste a lot of time. It looks like on August 29 something changed in Code Critics API and after that the command line tool is not capturing all reports. Hi! Threads in Pharo have always been mysterious for me. If I doit the following: [ true ] whileTrue Can other thread interrupt this? Say in other words, can the following piece of code may suffer from a concurrent problem in Pharo anOrderedCollection add: 42 My current understanding about thread is that there is a scheduling that may occurs each time we enter the VM (e.g., primitive call, instantiating an object, throwing an exception). So, the code "anOrderedCollection add: 42â will _never_ suffer from concurrent call because adding 42 to a collection does not enter the VM. Does this make sense? What is the current status of this?
