Missing collectAsSet: in Pharo 3.0

Hi, In Pharo 3 you guys integrated Doruâs CollectionsExtension package, which is great. You forgot, however, to integrate the utility method #collectAsSet: I was using in several places in my code. It should be simply ^ self collect: aBlock as: Set Could someone please put this in the standard image please? Thanks. Cheers, R

promoting latest vm as stable

feedback for reporting bugs

Hi guys I discussed with Robert from prague and he told me the following: - he followed the issue tracking page on how to report bugs but I suggest that for important problems that teachers may face they should send a mail to the mailing-list. => we should change that to add that people should also send a mail to the mailing-list - another problem that they face is that they take the 2.0 stable version on the website but the VM got a problem and this was absolutely not clear for them where to find a working one. => we should really improve on this level. People are using a really VM right now just because it is not clear what is stable. Stef

lowSpaceWatcher fresh Pharo 3.0 image

Hi, I just downloaded a fresh Pharo 3.0 image and I got a notification when I open the image > Not enough memory to launch the lowSpaceWatcher. This is triggered by SmalltalkImage>>#lowSpaceWatcher Is this normal? Cheers, R

Smalltalk in a C World

And by virtual of ObjC compatibility with C/C++, the whole C world is open to Smalltalk. Isn't this very exciting? Anyone else noticing this? Can Pragmatic Smalltalk be used to develop a CAD system using the OpenCascade and Visualization Toolkit (VTK) open source libraries? Can this work help us enter the Apple ecosystem?
