References to Obsolete classes

Hi, Consider the following scenario: 1- create class A 2- create class B with a method m that references class A 3- delete class A . As a result B>>#m holds a reference to ObsoleteA 4- create a new class A. B>>#m continues to hold a reference to ObsoleteA. This is even more disturbing, since the source of B>>#m displays A. Is this behavior desired? If yes, in which situations. because I'd rather prefer to have B>>#m updated. This can be done, by moving the association of a removed class (or global in the general case) from the system dictionary to the Undeclared. Side note: just noticed that Undeclared is a dictionary. I was expecting it to be a WeakSet. Looks like our homepage has a link to Pharo by example, but not to the new Deep into Pharo book or the other free ST book collection from Stef http://www.pharo-project.org/home Looks like the Collaborative book moved to Gemtalksystem: http://pharo.gemtalksystems.com/ Is it still maintained/used and should be referenced as well? Pharo (cog) Vm on Windows with 2GB virtual mem

Hi Guys, I read in this thread http://forum.world.st/out-of-memory-cog-on-windows-td3465621.html that 512 mb limit can be avoided in windows, but a re-compilation is needed. I was wondering if the situation changed, and now we can pass a parameter. Otherwise, I would be interested if any of you has a pre-compiled vm with more mem. I need to run some experiments and I need 2GB (or 1.5 GB at least ) on a cog VM for Windows. Thanks in advance. Oscar

"as yet unclassified" protocol remains when empty

I wanted to check this was not a feature before reporting an issue. Previously in Pharo 2.0, when the protocol "as yet unclassified" became empty, it disappeared. In Pharo 30434, it does not disappear when empty. Really a small thing, but I prefer the previous behaviour. cheers -ben
