I was updating my copy of the PBE2 repo and looked at the site for PBE2. There are quite a number of tex files in the repo that have no PDF rendition. Is there any kind of already made script I can use to get them all rendered like that? I am interested in getting the material from not yet released files in a readable format. As I have been working a bit on sound, I think I could also contribute something to a chapter on that subject. Are there any rules on how to write for that? Phil

[Pharo-project] Monticello preferences not working in 1.4

I wanted to switch the default package-cache location to somewhere else. So, I changed the prefs setting to the location where I moved all of the packages. But... this opening Monticello afterwards still lists the original location (in fact the first place where I ran the one click (that I moved somewhere else). See screenshot. What to do? [Pharo-project] Weird error with halos on a SystemWindow

self world answers nil and then cannot do the displayWorld. Weird for a halomorph. What's wrong here? It is annoying since I was using the halo "red" menu to work with a morph interactively. Ideas? [Pharo-project] FileSystem. Possible FSReference rename

Hello, I hear many people does not like name FSReference in FileSystem package. Me too. Its not clear to me. But it is main object for end user. Maybe we can rename it to FSLocation? I frequently name variables that point to some file/dir like imagesLocation, settingsLocation and others. Therefore it is natural to me have FSLocation instead FSReference. What do you think?

(Posting to Metacello and Pharo-project lists) Metacello bootstraps in #20199, but not #20200, #20201, or #20202. Try: Gofer new url: 'http://ss3.gemstone.com/ss/Versionner'; package: 'ConfigurationOfVersionner'; load. (Smalltalk at: #ConfigurationOfVersionner) project development load:#('Core' 'Spec'). When the dialog pops up about loading a package with unsaved changes, if you choose merge and keep the current version for all the removed classes and methods, it bootstraps. If you "Load" instead of Merge, it fails with "MessageNotUnderstood: IdentitySet>>copyAfter:" Sean
