Hi all, Since this morning every time I open Pharo 2.0 an error pops out. [Pharo-project] NB Capabilities

I am developing an application which needs to access a proprietary business API to access data from their servers. Currently because I don't know how to do that from within Pharo, I have been using Python/COM. But that API is deprecated and expires soon. Now I have to move to an app which accesses via either a C/C++ app which accesses a DLL, a .NET library or a Java jar. There are a number of objects that have to be created from the dll/jar, and a number of interfaces which have to be implemented from the dll/jar. Presently I am studying Clojure in order to work from the Java side. I do not know Clojure or Java. If I could learn sufficient C and do this with NB in Pharo, that would be very nice. I have never done anything like what NB does, so I do not know what all it does or can do. Can Pharo implement the interfaces provided in the DLL in the Smalltalk side? Or would the interfaces have to be implemented on the C side and then Pharo access the objects? Any advise greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jimmie

Hi, in the condenseChanges method the message moveChangesTo: is heavily called. And this method exports changes for all selectors of the behavior. But I suppose that we want to process only local selectors here. Can some traits guy confirm that we should replace call of the message #selectors with #localSelectors here? Cheers -- Pavel

I've moved the MongoTalk project to SmalltalkHub: http://www.smalltalkhub.com/#!/~francois/MongoTalk/ The original repo is still available but please use the new one. I don't know how to put a repo in global read/write on Smalltalkhub (is it possible?)

I've measured a few variations, with and without preallocation: (using new:streamContents:) your version: 207 ms 584 ms using a WordArray as destination: 1160 ms 2524 ms using a WordArray as both source and destination: 157 ms 522ms Stephan

Hi guys. I remember some improvements made to TimeProfiler regarding primitives. I am profiling something which does a lot of primitive calls, and the TimeProfiler is quite dumb. It shows almost everything as #finalizationProcess but I know that the time is not actually spent there. I remember someone that fixed this (maybe Eliot telling me that on Teleplace?). Hi Igor, thanks for adding me to the NativeBoost repo. I uploaded some basic samples for Win32 and adopted the config. In Pharo 2.0 one can load latest stable right from the world menu "Tools" -> ConfigurationBrowser" -> "NativeBoost" Here are some samples people can now play with: 1.
