Status: New Owner: ---- New issue 3405 by tony.fleig: Issue 1042 should be re-opened. Pharo needs a user-accessible list of shortcut keys http://code.google.com/p/pharo/issues/detail?id=3405 Issue 1042 was apparently closed when the Help menu item was added. There is indeed a Help item in the World menu, but it does not lead to anywhere that shortcut keys are listed. The original issue, i.e. that the list of shortcut keys is nowhere available has not been addressed. I think this issue should be re-opened. I agree wholeheartedly that this list is of immense value to newcomers to the Pharo and should be available and easy to find.

Hi folks. First make a question, in this list. String>>asDate message assume(harcode way) english date format.. may be.. may be better if the date format to take it to a context variable as with the names of the months? Best..

Hi all, The Ruby guys have a really nifty tool for code documentation (mainly per-class, per-method etc, but README files are used as well and can serve for tutorials). Hi, I was looking for examples of how to use NewTextMorph, and I tried: NewTextMorph authoringPrototype However, it raises errors which seem to be related to an initialization problem. I started a little package to wrap the bit.ly URL shortening API in Smalltalk. It's simple enough to have no dependencies, and works in Pharo and Squeak trunk. You need a free bit.ly account to use the API. See BitLyInfo and BitLy class comments, and the specs for more info. bitLy := BitLy forUser: 'myUsername' withApiKey: 'myApiKey'. bitLy shorten: 'http://google.com'. Hi When I tried to open a browser in SimpleMorphic I got an infinite DNU Now the problem is not in SimpleMorphic but SmalltalkEditor new does not work. Stef

Thanks for your help. Because of it, I've found a couple ways around the issue. Far more important is knowing there are folks out there.I hope to be useful to the community as I gain experience. Pharo is cool - and I am grateful Squeak has strong shoulders upon which Pharo can stand. Thanks again. PS I didn't respond directly to your responses because I signed up for the digest form of the list. Now that I want to change it from that subscription type, I can't seem to get into the list to modify my account *Error: **Authentication failed.*which is strange because I just created the account yesterday and know the password. Well, on the assumption I'm that stupid, I asked the list to send me my password. I haven't received it after asking twice. Who should I contact or should I just create another account?
