Hi guys some days ago with alex we wanted to identify the methods containing a reference to their class (Lint does it too). Now we thought that replacing them with self class is not equivalent since we could imagine that hardcoding the class name make sure that subclass cannot redefine methods. Now this is a bit against Smalltalk late bindinness and probably most of the time an newbie error. But I wanted to know what was your experiment to that regards. Stef

Hi All, I was wondering why is there a method originFor: in FormsBuilder. In VW there is none. Why the builder should know about the bounds of the element to display? I always though the shape was in charge of it. Something else, both in Squeak and VW we have the following method: -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= FormsBuilder>>at: aX and: aY "Utility method that makes other methods easier to read." ^self components select: [:component | component gridX = aX and: [component gridY = aY]] -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Is there a reason to not store the components in a matrix ? One reason that I see, is that one could have a large compound contains only few elements in it. But still, I find that strange. Hi! I was wondering what the best strategy to implement a DSM will be. I see two different strategies: 1 - Building the matrix with a formsBuilder. Each shape contained in the builder is therefore a cell of the DSM. 2 - Having an MONode for each cell. I would favor option 2, but a special layout need to be defined right? Doru, you said once that Mondrian may not be adapted to build DSM. I do not understand (or even feel) why. May you comment on this? Hi David and others, When I create new class with a new subcategory for an existing package, the OBbrowser is not refreshed (the subcategory is not listed). Maybe this is something that could be easily fixed ? Using the latest pharo dev 10231dev09.02.1, I cant use the search bar anymore. I got a OBEnhancementMetaNode(Object)>>doesNotUnderstand: #fan: Latest I check (10211), it works. Is it a known bug? -- Simon

I would like to run smallLint on all the packages :) Now I wanted to run SmallLint on all the collections package but I could not find a way. Lukas do you know how to do that? Stef
