[Pharo-project] Running all tests in core 11065?

Did someone manage to run all the tests in the latest core image (11065, updated from 11053). I try to compare the state of tests before/after some changes, but in both cases the test runner got stuck around 1600 tests. -- Simon

Hi folks! I know very little about streams and files, so maybe is quite stupid my problem. Try to evaluate this code: |segment| segment := ImageSegment new. segment copyFromRoots: (Array with: 'something') sizeHint: 100000 areUnique: true. segment segmentName: 'segmenttest'. (ImageSegment segmentDirectory newFileNamed: 'whatever') nextPutAll: segment segment. You will raise the error: "Improper store into indexable object" So, I am using a MultiByteFileStream and I am trying to write a WordArrayForSegment. I don't understand MultiByteFileStream>>nextPut: aCharacter because it does: nextPut: aCharacter aCharacter isInteger ifTrue: [^ super nextPut: aCharacter]. xxxx....xxxxx And super is MultiByteFileStream >> nextPut: aChar which does buffer1 at: 1 put: char. But here, char is not a char, but 1929386344 which is a LargePositiveInteger and then, of course, it fails when it does buffer1 at: 1 put: char. So, does someone have an idea of what can be wrong ? Hello all, Dolphin defines ExternalInteger and various subclasses such as DWORD under ExternalStructure. I will oscillate between caring about the details (for FFI uses??) and simply wanting the classes in the image to pacify my code. Is there a correct way to deal with such things? Not seeing anything, I created ExternalInteger that uses a ByteArray and DWORD under it, acting as a glorified value holder. Please let me know if I am missing an existing solution. Bill

[Pharo-project] Is there something wrong in debugging in the Morphic thread?

Unfortunately, this is an issue which I cant easily reproduce, at least not without a third party tool (1525). Now I would like the general opinion/experience of debugging Morphic code especially in threads. Usually an exception raised from within Morphic code pops up a debugger as usual. However, from time to time, or for more complicated stuff, the situation runs out of hand and tons of debugger pop up everywhere because the same faulty gets obviously executed again and again. Now can somebody with some Morphic knowledge explain how this is supposed to work and how to deal with such issues? -- Simon

[Pharo-project] BUG: some MC package not dirty...

What I did: 1) uploaded trunk code from Graphics package: this code was overriden by *FreeType-override 2) classified the code back to FreeType via drag-and-drop in a regular browser What I obtained: the changes were not in Graphics. But the FreeType package in Monticello Browser was still marked as clean (I mean not marked as *dirty). I feel like this is a UI bug... BTW, I noticed there is both a FreeType and a FreeType-Settings (or something like that). I thought it was wrong... isn't it? Nicolas

When i load a package Via Gofer, the categories of the loaded code doesn't appear. take a new image PharoCore1.1ALPHA Latest update: #11066 How to reproduce : execute : Gofer new squeaksource:'JBARepo'; addPackage:'FFI-Kernel'; load. then no categories FFI-kernel appear. but you can find the class loaded if you search them (FFIConstants or ExternalObject ) I open a issue : 1530
