Oh, Chris I am just a dumb developer and I don't know much about the tools, I just know it is a pain to get MC 1.5 working. I am cc to Pharo firends with a small recall of the situation, may be they have some tips Chris is working on new beta version of Magma which I am testing with him. As far as I can understand, Chris use Monticello configuration to be able to load in one click several Magma mcz packages. This requires Monticello 1.5, but this ones does not work equally on the different version of Squeak nor with Pharo. Which tools could be suggested to Chris ? Hi all Is it a well-known bug that the creation time is incorrectly reported on Mac? Time dateAndTimeFromSeconds: (FileDirectory default directoryEntryFor: 'ESUG2008.txt') creationTime It seems to be confused and return the last opened or last modified date. I was browsing again the code of file support and nearly fainted. I still could not do a simple rename xxx into creationdatexxx simply Then is there a way to modify the creationTime and other characteristic of a file? So this is really something that we should do in pharo fixing that terrible part of squeak. Mike do you think that we can "harvest" sophie solution? Does sophie fix the file library or just use URI as file location description? I was thinking that we could check a bit rio interface to see if we could use it as a scaffold and slowly rewrite it so that at the end it is a not a wrapper anymore on that shit. Stef

While browsing at referencer of FileDoesNotExistException, I discovered the following pattern that is used in many different places. I find this pretty ugly: -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= file := [fd readOnlyFileNamed: keysFileName] on: FileDoesNotExistException do:[:ex| nil]. file ifNil:[^self]. I guess that maintainers will love this. I added a new entry menu when right-clicking on a monticello package in the MCBrowser. You can now turn all dirty package as required to the selected package. The most useful case is when you define your slice. Monticello-AlexandreBergel.321 in PharoInBox Issue #125 in google code. The last release does not have the last version of ScriptLoader loaded. I think it is good to have always the last version of "infrastructural" packages in the image, like ScriptLoader.
