Hi guys. www.squeakdbx.org was temporally moved to http://dbxtalk.smallworks.com.ar/ (thanks SmallWorks for always host our image) We didn't yet update the website to match DBXTalk project, but soon we will do it and when that happens we will register www.dbxtalk.org and shut down http://dbxtalk.smallworks.com.ar/ Cheers DBXTalk team

NUmber rounding

I am reading a list of numbers from a csv file. The file represents financial transactions so all the numbers are currency and they have zero, one or 2 decimal places Eg 1000 240.46 100.5 I use Number readFrom: to get from text to number. When I add all the amounts the answer comes out like: 306.65999999999985 I want to see 306.66 I had alook at Stef's chapter talking aboy 2s compliment and I'm guessing that this is something like that but I read most of it as: meow meow meow moew. Too hard :-) Can someone just tell me which class/method I need? Thanks. I know this might come across as lazy but my background is as an application developer and I'm just not that interested in the low level system guts. UITheme howto get patchworkUIThemeColorFor: the background of a PluggableTextMorph?

Hi, iâm working on a UITheme and canât figure out, how to change the background of a PluggableTextMorph (UITheme>>textEditorNormalFillStyleFor:) and some other elements according to the patchworkUIThemeColor of the window they are part of. Is there any theme that does this or anybody has a hint? TestRunner anomaly

When I run my tests in TestRunner by clicking Run Selected, they all pass. When I run them by clicking Run Coverage, a couple fail. Does anyone know why that might be? thanks.

Status of SSL on Pharo? (and some general questions on mail and IO)

Hi, I'm looking for a way to send email using SSL. Googling I've found several conversations from earlier this year on the subject, including one thread from May and another from January. In the May thread it sounded like a project was getting kicked off to do something that might be official-ish. Has there been progress on this? Second question, while playing with mail in my pharo image, the entire image seems to block during the handshake/send. Is there a way around that? If not, would a solution perhaps be to run a separate image to send emails and communicate via a db or file system? Final question, does Pharo always block on IO? My impression was that all Smalltalks did at one time, but that some (visualworks? squeak?) had fixed that years ago. Thanks.
