Searching through the pharo-project archives, the image is from 6 december 2009. >From looking at the squeak vm archives, something like 3.11.3.2147 or so. I don't remember if we had our own vm already by then. Stephan

Balloon stickers

A while ago Bert Freudenberg made a pretty cool rendition of the Smalltalk balloon [1]. After getting his permission to reproduce the image, I ordered some stickers from the Sticker Guy [2] to see what their stickers are like. So, here I sit, with about 100 of these stickers [3]. I've already stuck them on all the things I wanted to, so I ask: Would you like one? If so, send me an email with an address to ship to, or go to the next Smalltalk meetup, and I'll give you some there. The stickers measure 2.13x2.75in and are printed on white vinyl, so keep that in mind. Also, keep in mind I'm not asking for money for these stickers, but I might ask for some help if I have to ship the thing via carrier pigeon to get it to you. Oh, I'm probably going to send this message to more than one list. JPEG export producing images with black background

I need to export JPEG images in Pharo to later import then in my PDF document. When I export JPEG files with Pharo, the background is black, which makes the exported image meaningless. To reproduce the problem, do the following in the latest moose image (the image can be obtained from here<https://ci.inria.fr/moose/job/moose-latest-dev-4.8/> ): |window| window := ESExamples new kiviat2. window model canvas imageForm writeJPEGfileNamed: 'fileName.jpg'. The file will be produced in the image folder. If someone could suggest how to make the background white or transparent, it'll be a great help. Usman

ui slowness on newly installed ubuntu 13.04 64bit

Hi - I've recently installed Pharo 1.4 & 2.0 on a laptop I upgraded to Ubuntu 13.04 and using both Eliot's vm for Pharo 1.4 and the pharovm from the Ubuntu PPA. The UI is incredibly slow with it sometimes taking 1 second to switch windows when they are clicked or > 8 seconds to find the senders/implementors of a method. Is there something I can check to see what the problem may be? cat /proc/cpuinfo shows that the CPU is running at the high frequency. Thanks Paul

recompile a class via menu item in Pharo 2?

In earlier versions of Pharo you could choose a refactoring scope and then recompile everything in that scope by choosing the 'recompile' menu item . Is there a way to do the same thing in Pharo 2? Thanks
