How can i programmatically set the GUI pointer's position? I've tried World currentHand position:20@20. World activeHand position:20@20. but didn't work.

Chess Game / UpdatingStringMorph

Glamour: opening paths in tree with filters

Hi, I am having trouble with opening a specific path in tree presentation (using MorphTreeMorph) when filtering nodes. What I am trying to achieve is that if a node is searched in a tree at level 4, all the parent nodes are opened to show the node searched (hence the user the does not need to open the nodes manually). In Glamour, when combined with filtering, expanding up to the root of the search node works when the parent node is already expanded, otherwise the nodes are not expanded. At the end of the mail, there are two snippets to reproduce the behavior. MorphTreeMorph>>addMorphsTo: from: withExpandedItems: atLevel: is the method responsible for this behavior in Glamour and it seems that nodes are only expanded (to show their children) if they were expanded beforehand. Is there a way to do otherwise in MorphTreeMorph (open paths with non-expanded nodes)? tx. AST Inspector

Hi, everyone! When I was exploring AST in Pharo, at the beginning it seemed a bit confusing for me how the tree looks like, or which part of code some node represents etc. As I'm working with ASTs for a while now, still not an expert ;), I decided to make a simple AST Inspector for myself and everyone that needs it. Hopefully, this inspector will make peoples lives easier when learning ASTs. For now its very raw. Inspector shows the code and its AST representation visually like in the picture. Also you can select/deselect a nodes of AST an see which part of code it represents (like in the picture above). Functionality ends here :) What do you think about it? RESTful API with Pharo with Gemstones

I have been a project coming up that I really onlyneed a restful API on. The front end will be first built on a mobile device(iOS )then back on possibly android, with a very stripped down web application. i would like to use pharo/gemstones as the database. is there a project out there that allows for such restful API development in pharo land? This would be so fun! thanks

Data Week: A week long workshop on data visualization using Pharo and Roassal

Hi all, All this week we have been doing a workshop on data visualization using Pharo and Roassal on Grafoscopio. It started on last Monday and will end on next Saturday. Details are on [1][2]. The experience so far has been really gratifying and enjoyable. Newbies (with no background on programming and/or Smalltalk) liked the language, the Roassal capabilities and galleries and the inclusion of GT-Tools help a lot with code learning and exploration. I was planing to announce this before the event, but I had a really busy week and even I planned to aski for help with bugs or other questions, but so far we had only minor glitches.
