How to use HTTPS (SSL) with Zinc

Okay, so I have my nice little Teapot app, but I'd like to run it as HTTPS. As far as I can understand, to do this I must go through Zinc. However, the docs on the web seem rather out of date. For example, I do not have ZnZincServerAdapter (in Pharo 5.0). In the simplest terms, how do I support HTTPS? (I've created my self-signed cert.) We have two kinds: -> presentation of a demo with youtube live, then Q&A (one person talks) -> More open discussion just on Discord with Audio Chat about a topic (one person started and guides a discussion) We need topic ideas and people who take the lead role for the second part of the year (August to December). Setting rowHeight: for Spec FastTableModel

Hi, I have a code like this: FastTableModel new displayBlock: [ :node | node name ]; items: Collection withAllSubclasses; openWithSpec. Which works fine. But I would like to define row height for each item. FTTableMorph has a method rowHeight:. Is it possible? One possible use case could be: FastTableModel new displayBlock: [ :node | node name, String cr, â number of methods: ', node methods size asString ]; items: Collection withAllSubclasses; "rowHeight: 50;â âdoes not work" openWithSpec In that case, each list item is composed by a class name on the first line, and the number of methods on the second line. For FTTableMorph the code looks like this: FTTableMorph new extent: 650@500; selectRowIndex: 1; showFirstRowSelection; dataSource: (FTEasyListDataSource new elements: Collection withAllSubclasses; display: [ :node | Smalltalk ui theme newColumnIn: World for: { node name asStringMorph. Spect TextModel with transparent background

Hi, is it possible to set a transparent color to the TextModel? I want a text information that may take a few lines, that is able to wrap according to a window size. So, using LabelModel does not fit, because it does not wrap lines. But it looks like TextModel always looks like text editing area. Any idea how to do it? I have tried this: TextModel new text: 'any very very very long text that does not fit to one line'; color: Color transparent; disable; openWithSpec. And it does not work. Ideally it should look like the label model, but with wrapped text: LabelModel new label: 'any very very very long text that does not fit to one line'; openWithSpec Also, executing this: TextModel new text: 'any very very very long text that does not fit to one line'; color: Color transparent; borderColor: Color blue; borderWidth: 50; disable; openWithSpec. It looks to me, that color, border color and width are not reflected. Is it a bug? Thanks! Juraj

vested interest in PharoJS?

Hi all, Is anyone else interested in PharoJS and making it mature for their own commercial mobile and single page web app (and node.js) development? I think it has a huge potential because it brings the browser runtime and many libraries and online services from the JS world to us Smalltalkers while letting us keep our agile development and good CS practices. But it does not yet have the necessary features and documentation to work smoothly. -- Siemen

Dear World, The time has come for Pharo 6.0! Pharo is a pure object-oriented programming language and a powerful environment, focused on simplicity and immediate feedback. This is our most significant release yet. Here are some highlights: - Pharo is now provided in 64-bit version in Linux and OSX and brings even better performance and stability (beware, 64bits version is a new technology and a small amount of tests is still failing) - A new code changes management system named Epicea for easier reviewing and recovering of your code easily - Integrated support for Git through an easy-to-use tool for repositories and commits management named Iceberg (as a preview for Pharo 6, it will be the default in Pharo 7) - The unified foreign function interface (UnifiedFFI) for interfacing with the outside world is significantly improved - The PharoVM is now part of OpenSmalltalk initiative - Introduction of object immutability, alternative bytecode sets and block closures independent of outer context - Pharo can now be bootstrapped from source code managed by Git - Pharo modularity is improved - Pharo is faster - The Dark Theme was improved and set as default color theme of Pharo These are just the more prominent highlights, but the details are just as important.
