Hi, I made a library for an online 2 factor authentication service called PassBy[ME] <http://passbyme.net> . This a service that provides PKI based 2nd factor authentication (using smartphones) among other things like message sending and electronic signatures. The library lets you start new authentication sessions and send messages to the user's phone. GTDebugger - sort stackTop to the top of the list, 2 variable lists

Hi - How do I mold the debugger so the stackTop is at the top of the variable list? Also is there a way to have the two copies of the variable list shown next to each other where there is only one now? I find my self scrolling up and down to check changes in multiple spots which I think could be done if two were side by side. And then how do I persist those changes somewhere so every image I ever use has them when I start it? Thanks Paul

Glorp / SQLite3 issue

Hi All, I'm working my way through some of the examples in PharoInProgress/Glorp. Adapting Pierce's code from his announcement: | workingDir dbName login session | workingDir := SmalltalkImage current imagePath asFileReference parent fullName , FileSystem disk delimiter asString. dbName := 'glorpbook.db'. login := Login new database: UDBCSQLite3Platform new; host: workingDir; port: ''; username: ''; password: ''; databaseName: dbName; yourself. PharoDatabaseAccessor DefaultDriver: GlorpSQLite3Driver. session := GlorpBookDescriptorSystem sessionForLogin: login. session createTables. However this fails with: MessageNotUnderstood: receiver of "basicExecuteSQLString:" is nil If I add a breakpoint in GlorpSession>>accessor: manually execute: accessor login and then proceed, everything works fine. Given that Glorp has been around for so long, I guess that this is more likely an issue with the new UDBC driver, however I don't yet understand the architecture well enough to propose a fix. Any suggestions? Thanks! Alistair

synchronized return from asynchronous message block

Hi, is it possible to return "synchronously" even if I have an asynchronous message? For example: SomeObject>>someMethod ^ UIManager default chooseFrom: #(a b c) When the above method is executed, it will open a popup and block the execution until I select something, then it will return the selection. But if I instead have something like this SomeObject>>otherMethod |choice| NewListModel new items: #(a b c); whenSelectedItemChanged: [ :item | choice := item ]; openDialogWithSpec. choice. Then it will open the window but it will immediately return nil. So my question is: is it possible to synchronously return even in the second example / block the flow until a selection is made? OSProcess command - non responding image when calling often

Hi, sorry but I have another issue with OSProcess. For my app, I want to show small .png previews from my .pdfs. For this reason, I use an external software, currently pdfbox. It works fine, but regularly, I get a hanging image. I tried to reproduce it and found out, that it is not a problem with pdfbox (http://pdfbox.apache.org) because from command line, I can call it often without problems. There can be (hopefully) many users in my app with many previews at one time. So I have to call it often. For reproduction of the OSProcess issue, I used another simple command (from my other OSProcess umlaut issue :-)) to test it. calling this, results in a non responding image: 20 timesRepeat: [OSProcess command: ('cp /Library/WebServer/Documents/reports/bar.pdf /Library/WebServer/Documents/reports/test-c.pdf').]. also this: 20 timesRepeat: [OSProcess command: ('echo "Hi there"').] My original code is similar to this but here only for information: OSProcess command: ('{1} -jar {2} PDFToImage -format PNG -page 1 -dpi 100 {3}' format: {'Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/java'. '/Users/sabine/Desktop/pdfbox-app-2.0.1.jar'. '/Library/WebServer/Documents/reports/201411121510-112859865-3378921/20150605_170_IFA_Berlin_Reisekostenabrechnung.pdf'}). So, my question is: is it wrong, calling OSProcess like this? How to do it instead? I am sorry to ask again and hope that there is a simple solution. Or is it a bug in OSProcess?
