Hi, if i want to have access to the variables in a workspace and know its window i simply do: window model instVarNamed: 'bindings' now i'd like to know how i do something like that with a GTPlayground that resides in a GLMSystemWindow werner

Ubuntu Font License : Compatibility with Pharo License?

Would the Ubuntu Font License at; http://font.ubuntu.com/licence/ be considered compatible with the Pharo license? If it is not _compatible_ would the usage of Ubuntu fonts still be acceptable/permissible within Pharo? Thanks, ~Mayuresh

Safari and weird rendering

Maybe someone has had this. I see that when IE or Safari get a response from Seaside, I do get an application/xhtml+xlml returned. But with Firefox and Chrome, this is text/html; charset=utf-8 The server is Zinc HTTP Components 1.0 Why is there such a difference? I've put the preference in the app to force it but Zinc still serves the way described above. Ideas? Phil

Multiline fields and NeoCSVReader

Hi, I am having a csv file looking like "COL1";"COL2";"COL3";"DESCRIPTION" 1;"A string";13;"This is a long description spanning multiple lines, which is a challenge for most csv readers!" 2;"Another string";42;"" (CRLF line endings) Is there a combination of settings to NeoCSVReader that will allow to read such a file? Dear all, We are happy to release Hapao2 for Pharo. Ricard Jacas and Alejandro Infante put quite some work on Spy2 (an Ã¼ber cool profiling framework for Pharo) and Hapao2. Hapao2 is about assessing the test coverage of your code and is a major revamp of Hapao1, which was presented a couple of years ago by Vanessa. Hapao2 does not only list covered and uncovered methods, as most test coverage tool on Earth will do. Hapao gives a great visualization to easily navigate in your code, assess its complexity, and give you a great visual output telling its coverage. Hello, While I am still waiting for my copy of the PBE, I would like to initiate work on a project (along with friends). The idea is to build a minimalist Linux based system which would boot up straight into a full-screen Pharo environment. The system itself would be single user, consisting of not more than a Linux kernel, a few system utilities (busybox?), X (KDrive?) and Pharo (vm + image + ...). Would like to know if it's some how possible to control external programs from within Pharo, essentially shell scripts for network setup, etc. Thanks, ~Mayuresh

Preorder tree traversal

Hi, I have a tree object structure, in a project and I'm wondering if there is a code or method that I can use to make a preorder tree traversal on it. I have seen the one that is the book Inside Smalltalk Vol 1, but I don't know if there is something in the image or elsewhere that can be used without much/any reimplementation. Why use a Linux underneath when you can do it in Smalltalk ;) Look at SqueakNOS - an operating system that was/still is able to boot from disk right into Squeak: http://wiki.squeak.org/squeak/1762 Accessing devices/writing drivers in Smalltalk, etc. >Would like to know if it's some how possible to control external >programs from within Pharo, essentially shell scripts for network setup, >etc. Check out the "OSProcess" package in Pharo.
