Filesystem bug or limitation?

Hello all, I'm playing with pharo filesystem and I run into an issue. I want to access the content of a remote windows folder from Linux, so my idea was to mount it using mount -t cifs, which works perfect, following that i thought I will access from pharo as any other directory. Instead of that if I try to make a fileReference with the mount point path I't says it deos not exists. But if I ask the parent folder for its childrends the mount point appears but not as a directory. Example: given: /mnt/remoteFolderMountPoint before mounting: '/mnt/remoteFolderMountPoint' asFileReference exists -> true '/mnt/remoteFolderMountPoint' asFileReference isDirectory -> true after mounting '/mnt/remoteFolderMountPoint' asFileReference exists -> false '/mnt/remoteFolderMountPoint' asFileReference isDirectory -> false Other curious thing is that if I do: '/mnt/' asFileReference children, it shows the mountpoint forlder that claims not to exist :S Any ideas? [ANN] ODBC package on STHub

The ODBC package is now migrated from SqueakSource to SmalltalkHub and available under http://smalltalkhub.com/#!/~PharoExtras/ODBC I also cleaned up a little bit and made some stuff working on Pharo 3.0 again. You can now als easily load it from the config browser. Repo is open for contributions. Have fun. Thanks T.

managing keybindings with gtinspector

Hi, The GTInspector now offers dedicated presentations for managing keybindings defined with the KeyMapping framework. For example, the attached screenshot shows how you can go through the submorphs and preview the associated keybindings. Package Dependencies Analyzer

Hello Pharo users, let me introduce a new tool that I developed in the RMOD team: package dependencies analyzer. This project provides a tool able to analyze Smalltalk project packages and detect dependencies to other packages. It enables automatic dependency analysis to detect wrong project description (declared dependencies). It's very easy to use and i hope it will be helpful during your development time. As soon as possible, a next version will enable to detect cycle dependencies among packages. Pillar editor - Atom hides .ignored files

It might just be the configuration of Pillar used for the PharoLaserGameTutorial, but directory with the sources files get cluttered with a lot of generated files. However I discovered something interesting using Atom to edit the Pillar files. You can set the "Hide Vcs Ignored Files" option in the Tree View package to ignore the files configured in .gitignore. This really cleans up the navigator. btw, one for the wish list.... I like the way Atom provides a nice list of Keybindings per package, as well as overall. It would be nice to have something similar in Pharo. cheers -ben

Adding method to class

Hi guys! How can I add method (I have /RBMethod/) to a class in code? I'm asking because existing method /addMethod:/ in /RBAbstractClass/ isn't working. Roassal2 Composite Shape

Hi I'm trying to draw an ellipse inside another ellipse but to no avail. I've tried using RTCompositeShape but that just expands the size of the smaller shape. Is there something else I'm missing (like fixing dimensions so they won't get updated) or should I subclass RTAbstractCompositeShape and try to make something on my own? Thanks, Peter
