It looks like that the workingCopiesFromConfiguration gives a collection containing a nil val I copied the collection in to a temp var so that I could debug (workingCopies) When I do: workingCopies select: [ :each | each isNil ] --> an OrderedCollection(nil nil nil) Uh Oh... I've made some changes and got something that looked like "proper". Image taking up 100% CPU

Hi list, A couple months ago I deployed an Iliad application in a Debian VPS, which has been working great except for the fact that about every two weeks the image takes up 100% of the CPU and, of course, the app becomes unusable. Does anyone have a method for finding out what's going on? I've been trying to debug the problem, but as I don't know what triggers it, it's pretty impossible to detect... I've checked the running threads and nothing seems unusual. I've also profiled the app for a whole day of real usage with end users and not a single method took more time than what I expected, so I'm completely lost here. Hi Stef, I'm able to reproduce your problems, by not cleaning the packagecache. The new version of Grease-Pharo20-Core is pmm.1. Having a packagecache that contains versions that seem to be newer creates loading of wrong versions. In my case, it tried loading Grease-Pharo20-Core-pmm.17.mcz. Sharing a packagecache between stable and development branches currently seems to be a bad idea. Cheers, Diego & Stephan

Morph relative positions

Next try. I may do something stupid but it appears that all morphs draw on the same coordinate system. Meaning that every Morph that will draw something at 0@0 will put it in the top left corner of the image displayed. I would expect that a morph that is positioned somewhere provides a canvas where 0@0 is relative to the position of the morph. If coordinates are absoulte how can I delegate work to sub components and having them calculate the offsets properly? Norbert

How to load seaside currently?

When loading seaside3 from the configuration browser it will break the image badly. It isn't even possible to open a system browser after that. What is the best way to load it manually? Or better is there something new so the configuration browser can be directed to a better config? Norbert

Capturing messages

Hello, I would like to intercept all messages sent in the system, as part of a small project to investigate if the information can be used in useful ways (autocompletion, object compatibility detection, etc). It will also involve filtering, aggregating and enabling/disabling it for space and time conservation, I'm new to Pharo, but had some success by changing the main perform (perform:withArguments: IIRC) method in Object, and making others use it instead of the primitives. Someone told me it doesn't capture most messages because of optimizations done by the system. My other thought was to use the profiler's spyOn as an approximation. What do you think? www.smalltalkhub.com not reachable from digitalocean host in NewYork2

I can ping: www.smalltalkhub.com (88.190.31.116) from two other machines (home and another host provider), but I cannot see 88.190.31.116 from a digitalocean box located in NewYork2. I can see squeaksource.com, ss3.gemtalksystems.com, ci.infria.fr but not smalltalkhub.com. Very frustrating, since I want to run my build from this machine. Any ideas? Is it on some sort of ban list? The firewall rules allow all outgoing connections.

Pharo Wiki cleanup

In my attempt to make the contribution process for Pharo a bit simpler I cleaned up the fogbugz wikis which where left a bit unmaintained. I would be more than happy to get some feedback and improve these websites gradually.
