When I define a message smalltalkDoc in the class "Class" it does not haveÂ problems there.Â But when I try to define a subclass "SmalltalkDoc" of "Class" andÂ put the message smalltalkDoc in this class, by evaluating for example the expression "LinkedList smalltalkDoc." I have a message context : "LinkedList class(Object)>>doesNotUnderstand: #smalltalkDoc." Putting (or docking) a Workspace inside a window

Hello, I am working on a project called MathsOntologie, which is basically a French translation for Smalltalk (at least the methods which can be useful for maths). It works well already but my colleagues ask for a friendlier GUI than Pharo's (!). Then I wish to go on programming as I am doing right now (writing the MathsOntologie script inside the Workspace and sending messages to the Transcript) but within a window. My colleagues want that there be a "Run" button which would automatically ctrl-A then ctrl-D; I want the syntactic highlighting... My idea is to divide the window in frames and use one of these frames as a workspace and another one as a transcript. But TextMorphForEditView new don't work (error message: don't understand "content"...). Is there a simple way to build and use a window which would work like a browser, with syntax highlighting? Problem working offline with monticello, after project was loaded from web-repository.

I can no longer commit to a local monticello repository after i have loaded the project from smalltalkhub: Reproduce: 1) Take a new image, load a project from Smalltalkhub. 2) Go offline 3) Try to save a new version to a local disk repository. => I see two ProgressBars: 1) Creating unique version number 2) Loading all filenames from http://smalltalkhub.com/... And i see a Dialog: "NameLookupFailure: cannot resolve 'smalltalkhub.com'" that asks me: Retry or Give up. => Retry leaves me with the same Dialog again, Give up hangs the image beyond any attempt to revive it. Adding a statement when rewriting

Why does adding a statement cause this rewrite to fail and how should I bet doing it? Would someone create a CollaborActiveBook Team on Smalltalkhub?

I wanted to update the Archetype Polymorph Application chapter on CollaborActive book to use the new LayoutFrame API and i wanted to update the example code accordingly. At the moment the example code is at Squeaksource. Hilaire Fernandes said i could update and migrate his code to SmalltalkHub. Error installing version 1.4

I downloaded Phar 1.4 one-click onto my Linux Mint system.Â When I ran the .sh file, I got the following error: could not find module vm-display-X11 Aborted I foundÂ that file in the path though: steve@steve-Satellite-L555D ~/Desktop/Pharo-1.4-one-click.app $ find . | grep vm-display ./Contents/Linux/vm-display-null ./Contents/Linux/vm-display-X11 steve@steve-Satellite-L555D ~/Desktop/Pharo-1.4-one-click.app $ Any ideas? Hi, I also had trouble installing 1.4. On my Ubuntu 12.04 64bits, a number of libraries were missing (starting with lib32). I had a cascade of error messages, but googling the message itself yielded a solution in each case. Unfortunately, I don't remember which modules I had to download.
