Rotation in Canvas draws

Hello, I would like to know how to rotate (given a degree or an angle) the draws in a Canvas. For example: in FormCanvas class>>test1, how to draw the string (or the rectangle, or the oval) vertically instead of horizontally? FormCanvas class>>test1 ... canvas drawString: 'Hello, World!' at: 40@40 font: nil color: (Color cyan). canvas fillRectangle: ((10@80) corner: (31@121)) color: (Color magenta). canvas fillOval: ((10@80) corner: (31@121)) color: (Color cyan). ... thanks and regards, -- Andre Hora

Turn off auto-completion

Hi, I don't like how the browser/editor thinks it is smarter than me (even if it is). How do I completely turn off the "feature" of it inserting an extra ' whenever I myself type an ' ? I really, really hate that. I've gone through the preferences and tried turning off anything related to eCompletion and Shout, and I've tried changing the system default browser. The darn thing is still making me navigate around these extra 's which is just not how I code. I feel like I've asked this question here before, like two years ago. In any case, I again gave up and went back to Squeak which does not force this upon me. If it is your intention to allow users to turn this off, it would be nice to know how that is accomplished. Hi, Yes, I don't like it either. The option is called "Smart Characters" in OCompletion. Maybe we shoud turn it off by default. Code Critics for unloaded projects

Hi list, I have a pretty special need, which is to be able to run code critics on projects that have not yet been loaded into the image. For example, I need to browse an st file -or a squeaksource project- and before loading it I want to run critics on it, would this be possible somehow? If it looks like something noone would need to do, I understand. It's just that the project I'm working on is pretty particular... I've been exploring other possibilities but I'm afraid this is one of the few left for me to think of :( Thanks a lot in advance! Bernat Romagosa.

Last pending things for Pharo 1.2

So....here is the list of things I guess are pending: 1) "Release" all configurations included in Pharo (this is, ConfigurationOfPharo and all it dependencies). I mean, we should NOT use or depend on #development versions. 2) Update the one click image to use latest cog images and "pharo prepared vms". There are some issues regarding this... 3) Write down all the things/summary done in Pharo 1.2 5) Update SystemVersion current -->> Pharo1.2rc2 of 27 January 2011 update 12340 6) Condense sources? condense changes? #cleanUpForRelease Cheers Mariano

Do we want this for Pharo 1.2 and futures?

In Pharo 1.0 and 1.1 I used to include certain files in addition to the .image and .changes. These files were: changelog.txt, installScript.st and packages.txt So...what do you think? are they (still) useful ? if true, then we should add it to hudson. If not, we just ignore it. Thanks Mariano
