If Cryptography relies on other projects (hosted on GitHub or somewhere else), then Metacello will load these dependencies so you end with all needed packages to get the project (in this case Cryptography) fully working. If you load the project directly with iceberg (not using the iceberg metacello plugin), you will miss project dependencies and the code will not be runnable. If a project has no dependency, Metacello still allows to define dependencies of packages inside your project to load them in the right order. Hi Guys, I'm looking for a guide on how to load a project from github but I can't find anything. Specifically I want to load the Cryptography package. Udo, told me it is on https://github.com/pharo-contributions/Cryptography, so I went to https://github.com/pharo-contributions/Cryptography but there is no documentation on how to load it. You "have to make a clock where the minutes and seconds should not be above 60." What does that actually *mean*? The *second* part of a UTC time can be 60. The *minute* part cannot. So the limits for minutes and seconds should be different. But what does "should not be above" mean? One approach, given h, m, s is m := s // 60 + m. s := s \\ 60. h := m // 60 + h. m := m \\ 60. h := h \\ 24. In that approach, the interpretation of (h,m,s) is - start with midnight - add h hours m minutes and s seconds of duration Another approach is (s between: 0 and: 60) ifFalse: [s error: 'out of range']. (m between: 0 and: 59) ifFalse: [m error: 'out of range']. (h between: 0 and: 23) ifFalse: [h error: 'out of range']. -- which completely fails to check that s, m, and h are integers. We really want a version of #between:and: that checks that the receiver and arguments are integers. The first approach gets valid leap seconds wrong. The second approach quietly accepts invalid leap seconds. Currently, leap seconds can only occur on December 31 or June 30. And you have to rely on tables to know *which* years have which leap seconds. There is a proleptic formula you can use to fill in leap seconds for years in the past before there was such a thing as leap seconds, but it doesn't help to predict future leap seconds. Let's face it, leap seconds are a major pain in the posterior. Not having leap seconds would also be a pain in the posterior, but different posteriors are involved. Is there a class in the Kernel/Chronology category that might be useful to you? What is the exercise you are trying to work on? Perhaps you should start by looking to see whether there is or are classes already in the image that do what you want. Look for classes by name (with wildcards) or for methods. For example, are there any classes which implement #hours, #minutes, or #seconds (possibly in the singular form). need suggestion badly

Hello I am doing masters project where i need to use pharo and freeCAD. In my work i need to send some parameter to freeCAD which can create a cube or other type shape. After getting some idea i write a C++ code that can send command to freeCAD to create a cube.step file so that means i have the file for cube now. Just i need to compile and send some parameter to through command line. below i have attached my screenshot to show the gui. a simple gui to send command line command using LibC function. where i can compile and execute than run my box or other file using pharo gui. But my supervisor want me to send parameter from pharo to that file which i dont know how to do. if i can send the parameter to that file or exe than my work complete. as my limition is c++ file cause c++ file can hand freeCAD command. Also i know if my file is c file than maybe i can use ffi . Now i need suggestion is there any way to do ? need your kind advice . Sorry that you did not hear from me a long time but I was in a dark place for a long time. but im back and have a question I have to make a clock so the seconds and minutes schould not be above 60, How can I take care of that ? and can I put the code here on the class side on this given method hour: anInteger minute: anInteger2 Â Â Â self shouldBeImplemented or schould I use that to make a call to the instance side and take care of there that the seconds and minutes are always valid. Diacritics in github

Hi All, Is anyone aware of a port of Diacritics from smalltalkhub to github? MCSmalltalkhubRepository owner: 'hernan' project: 'Diacritics' user: '' password: '' I'm way behind in reading the pharo lists, but I couldn't find any reference to this. If not, I'll try and make a port, but it will be without history. Thanks, Alistair
