Hi Paul, You can set the object to be "read only" (aka "immutable") and handle the exception. E.g. | u | u := User named: 'Paul'. u beReadOnlyObject. [ "your code modifying u's state" ] on: ModificationForbidden do: [ :ex | ex halt. "inspect state" u beWritableObject. ex resume ]. Probably there is a better way to do this with slots, using default ones or subclassing `InstanceVariableSlot` for that instance only and halting on the `write:to:` method of it. Regards, Esteban A. Konrad, This looks like a case where you are using a metadata-less repository ... if so you, should add the following method to your baseline class: projectClass Smalltalk at: #'MetacelloCypressBaselineProject' ifPresent: [ :cl | ^ cl ]. ^ super projectClass This mod will cause packages to be unconditionally loaded ... Monticello does a definition comparison on package load so only changed definitions are loaded into the image ... Roassal Explorer

When I use the Explorer view in Roassal, clicking on the root node causes the view to open a new panel with an inspector on the element. When I expand out the tree and click on a child element the inspector does not refresh. Is there a simple way to enable that behaviour? Kind regards Alan

Hi, I created a new release of P3, the modern, lean and mean PostgreSQL client for Pharo. https://github.com/svenvc/P3 Version 1.1 contains the following changes: - added support for Postgres Extended Query protocol (P3PreparedStatement) (thx Jan @jvdsandt) - added support for reading array type values (currently INTEGER[] FLOAT[] BOOLEAN[] TEXT[] VARCHAR[]) - added P3-Tests package and moved all tests there - more comments - more unit tests https://github.com/svenvc/P3/releases/tag/v1.1 Especially Jan's contribution adds a lot of functionality: the ability to work with prepared statements. After discussing it with Stef and Esteban and of course Ben . we reached the conclusion to have only a few days keeping the invite link private. After that it will become public again to make it easy for people to join without any hassle. If the problem reappears we can discuss whether further action is needed, in the meantime I will try to ban members generated by the bot. I wont be deleting it without consulting you first. Admins please refrain from creating additional invite links, one should be enough and will make everyone life a lot easier. The new link has no expiration date. Making the invite link public means that the links to the link , like the one on the website , will have to be updated to the new one. I do not have access to those places so people that do will have to update it. I will make the link public in this thread in a few days. in case the people that are responsible for sharing the link are not admins in Discord and they cannot access it. Again I apologize for the inconvenience but it was a necessary action to minimize the problem. I am at your disposal for any further clarification and assistance. Hi, In a fresh Pharo image, when you edit your first method the system asks you for your name. Sometimes, I share some images with my students so I wonder if it is possible for them to enter their name instead of mine when they edit their own code? Thanks in advance Abdelghani
