How to depend on another Github repo from the baseline ?

I have this very simple baseline for Ephestos baseline: spec <baseline> spec for: #pharo do: [ spec package: 'Ephestos' with: [Metacello new baseline: 'SmaCC'; repository: 'github://ThierryGoubier/SmaCC'; load] ]. The above code works fine for me. The user can install Ephestos from configuration browser that has a configuration that loads this baseline which in turn not only loads the latest code for the project but also runs this block to make sure Smacc is installed for Ephestos to use. The question however how else I can do this and what are the advantages and disadvantages for those other approaches ?

Hi everyone, I already send a mail here about my copy/paste that doesn't work between Chromium and Pharo3/4. Since I use more and more Pharo and I don't want to move from Chromium, I tried to find a solution to my problem and so I did. Ok, I must admit, it's brutal but I managed to get the content from the clipboard (after copying something from chromium) using 'xclip -o' with PipeableOSProcess help. So I looked at Clipboard>>clipboardText | string decodedString | string := self primitiveClipboardText. (string isEmpty or: [string = contents asString]) ifTrue: [^ contents]. decodedString := string convertFromWithConverter: UTF8TextConverter new. decodedString := decodedString replaceAll: 10 asCharacter with: 13 asCharacter. ^ decodedString = contents asString ifTrue: [contents] ifFalse: [decodedString asText]. and overrided it in UnixClipboard>>clipboardText as follow: UnixClipboard>>clipboardText | string decodedString | string := (PipeableOSProcess command: '/usr/bin/xclip -o') output. decodedString := string convertFromWithConverter: UTF8TextConverter new. decodedString := decodedString replaceAll: 10 asCharacter with: 13 asCharacter. ^ decodedString = contents asString ifTrue: [contents] ifFalse: [decodedString asText]. This trick works pretty well for me even if I'm sure it's not the best way to do it. I saw that it's possible to get the content of x11 clipboard in C using x11 libs but I think it would be a waste of time to implement it and then call C code from Pharo since I think the way I did it is fast enough. So that's why I choose this quick solution. Anyway, I send this mail to inform that I made with this called XClipboard, simply load it with: Gofer new url: 'http://smalltalkhub.com/mc/JulienDelplanque/XClipboard/main'; package: #ConfigurationOfXClipboard; load. ConfigurationOfXClipboard loadDevelopment. if you want to look at it. What do you think about it? Is there a better way to do that easily? Does anyone see a problem with this "quick fix"? As I said for me it works well for the moment but I can't be certain it will in any case. Thanks in advance, Julien

Code to create a repository

Hello I would like to ask how to simply add a repository into monticello without using monticello GUI's button +Repository, but by code. If I'm loading baseline or configuration via Gofer or Metacello, it creates repository automatically, but I don't want to load anything, what I need is just something like... Metacello new repository: 'filetree:///aPath'; create. What is the correct command? Settings browser

Hello, >From the settings browser, I want a drop list populated with morph of my choice; for example coloured rectangle morphs: I want the user to select a colour from such a predefined set and not from a text list. I did not find it is possible. Did I miss something ? (aBuilder pickOne: #pointColor) label: 'Colour' translated; description: 'The default point colour.'; default: #red; domainValues: {#red->Color red asMorph . #black-> Color black asMorph}]. Question about loading Roassal2 in Pharo4

Hi, I just loaded Roassal2 in Pharo4 using the following expression: Gofer it smalltalkhubUser: 'ObjectProfile' project: 'Roassal2'; configurationOf: 'Roassal2'; loadStable. When I try one of the examples I see that I am missing some GT presentations specific to Roassal. How should I load those ? Thx, Sven

woden-roassal view increase size?

Hi, I am working with woden-roassal and I noticed that re-sizing the OpenGL view screws up things that are displayed. Though I really would love to have a bigger view, I checked if in RWView and WDApplication there was something to make the OpenGL view larger from the beginning (so no need of resizing would be required) but I didn't manage to find anything that does such thing. Anyone knows where to look at? Cheers, Nicolas

Hi, there is an interesting Pharo4 minimal image being built on the CI. Is there a place with some documentation and the configurations one can load on it (for example, I'd need filetree support)? I'd like to build a fast, minimal Pharo for some command-line work (the GitFileTree-MergeDriver, for a start). Thanks, Thierry
