Hi guys I'm thinking aloud... I was wondering if we could not take advantage of a new class: Selector. MethodDict would only contain selectors and not symbols. I remember that I talked about that with hernan. Stef

Postmark email library

Hi guys, I've made a simple wrapper around the Postmark API. It lets you send emails without dealing with a SMTP server. Package browser?

I am attempting to do the Pharo by Example book, but a package browser (which is used in the examples) is not in the 1.1.1 or 1.2 image. Should I still use categories? If I create a package in Monticello browser I am not able to add classes or anything (not as far as I could see). Just starting out using Pharo, so apologies if these questions are already answered elsewhere.

Zinc crashes an image.

Hi - I'm pretty sure I'm having the same problem Phillipe had/described in this message: http://forum.world.st/Zinc-crashing-image-at-start-up-td3785797.html At least the PharoDebug.log is the same. It happens on both the most recent Cog and interpreter VM. Is there a way to recover from this? I could follow Sean's instructions from this thread if necessary: http://forum.world.st/Fwd-Oops-I-put-a-halt-in-a-startup-method-td3800729.h… Or is there a way to extract changes from a changes file for one image into another image? I'd rather fix the broken image but if its not possible I'd then just try to load those changes I don't have. Thanks for any guidance you can provide. Paul

Debugging block with ensure block

Hi, I observe a strange behaviour (in Pharo-1.4-14557-one-click.app) while debugging the following code. [ | a | self halt. a := (1 == 1). a ifTrue: [ ^ 'A'] . Transcript crShow: 'foo'. ^ 'B' ] ensure: [ Transcript crShow: 'bar'. ] If I comment out the halt statement and if I inspect the result of the attached code, the 'A' is returned and there is a 'bar' text in the transcript. If I inspect the result of the attached code (with halt enabled) and if I click step over in a debugger, I can see, that the statement ^ 'A' does NOT return, the program flow continues on the next line and the 'foo' is shown in the transcript. Now, I can click proceed and the 'B' is returned as a result. I tried the same process in Pharo-1.3-13328-OneClick.app and I got 'A' result in both cases. Zinc downloadTo: help required

I'm trying to do a wget style download with Zinc but running into a few problems when a server uses chunked transfer encoding. Eventually it ends up in ZnUtils streamFrom:to:size: with an empty totalSize (as content-length is unset) and then produces an empty file. However the download works fine if I simply do an upToEnd on the ZnChunkedReadStream. This can be seen by executing ZnClient new url: 'http://www.google.com'; downloadTo: '/tmp/foo.txt'.
