Postmark email library

Hi guys, I've made a simple wrapper around the Postmark API. It lets you send emails without dealing with a SMTP server. Package browser?

I am attempting to do the Pharo by Example book, but a package browser (which is used in the examples) is not in the 1.1.1 or 1.2 image. Should I still use categories? If I create a package in Monticello browser I am not able to add classes or anything (not as far as I could see). Just starting out using Pharo, so apologies if these questions are already answered elsewhere.

Adding OAuth & OpenID support to Pharo

Hello, Now that we have added Websocket support to Zinc, I would like to move forward and add OAuth & OpenID. Sven Van Caekenberghe, and Jan van de Sandt, have put together a proposal, which my company would like to fund. Does anyone know if there is any official website for RTalk ? It looks quite promising and I would like to give it a try.

Zodiac long-term streaming

My image is connected to an ssl streaming server with Zodiac... Okay, right off the bat, how cool is that?! Thanks, Sven! Anyway, using "ZnClient streaming: true; post: 'https://', url contents: data", I have a ZdcSecureSocketStream waiting for more data. Is there a way to specify "no timeout"? Since the connection is only good for 24 hours, I was thinking to just set the timeout to be a little longer than that, but I was curious. garbage collection questions

1. Is there a wiki entry about the GC somewhere that provides advice about how to tune the GC using #setGCParameters? 2. If I have two objects with accessors: Object subclass: #ObjectA instanceVariableNames: 'objectB' classVariableNames: '' poolDictionaries: '' category: 'Temp' Object subclass: #ObjectB instanceVariableNames: 'objectA' classVariableNames: '' poolDictionaries: '' category: 'Temp' and create an instance of each in a workspace and then set them up: |a b| a:=ObjectA new. b:=ObjectB new. a objectB: b. b objectA: a. and close the workspace then those instances of ObjectA & ObjectB will never be garbage collected, correct? Its my understanding that I'd need to nil out the instance variables of both instances to have them GCd as they both refer strongly to each other. Is that right? 3. How can I learn when an incremental or full GC run will happen? Is it dependent upon on the size of new or old memory or the overall size of the image or ... ? It seems like putting a #halt in a random spot could easily lead to a stuck image. Thanks for your help Paul

A REST API passed me #[0 0 1 58 153 199 12 211], which it swears is a unix timestamp within the last day... I don't see how that's possible... Any ideas? Regex search and replace with groups

Hi there, I'd like to remove a slash from a string like this one: 'abc123/456def/ghi' The resulting string should be 'abc123456def/ghi' that is only slashes surrounded by numbers should be removed. I tried with regex and group, using something like: 'abc123/456def/ghi'copyWithRegex: '(\d)/(\d)' matchesReplacedWith: '$1$2' but of course it doesn't work, dollar sign doesn't identify the group, sigh. Have you any suggestion? Nautilus plugin to add chasing implementor browsing

This is my first attempt. Did I do it right? (I'm still learning). It works in Pharo 2.0. To test; load this code in monticello: MCHttpRepository Â Â location: 'http://ss3.gemstone.com/ss/ChasingNautilusPlugin' Â Â user: '' Â Â password: '' Open the Nautilus Plugins Manager (by clicking the drop down arrow at the top right of a nautilus window). Add ImplementorsChasingPlugin. Then open a new nautilus window and look at a method. Nautilus should now show you a list of all the message sends by that method. Clicking on those shows you a list of the places they are implemented. Is there something with this functionality already in Nautilus? I couldn't find it. Cheers.

full Text diplay in a ListMorph?

I would like to display Text objects in a ListMorph, but from reading the code (and experience) it appears that the display code for lists, makes the text attributes homogenous across the whole line being displayed ... so any changes to emphasis or color in the Text object are lost ... That seems to be a shame... I've spent a bit of time this morning trying to use a Paragraph for display in the list morph, but my ninja morph skills are sadly lacking:) and I'm failing miserably,,, So, has anyone else encountered and conquered this particular problem? If you tell me that it is available in 2.0, I suppose that is a good enough answer, but it would be nice if there was Pharo1.4-based solution... Dale

Spec: Dynamically replacing widgets

I'm building a wizard, so I want the page widget to be replaced by the next one when the user clicks "Next". I tried (in the container model, in the callback for the next button): pageModel := PageModel owner: self. self needRebuild: false. self buildWithSpec. It "worked" in that it replaced the page, but it looked really weird... the vertical spacing of the controls was off and all the text widgets were invisible, even though they were there and working if clicked on. Hi All, I tried to do a text diff using DiffMorph. But if compared strings contain CR character, the display seems not be accurate. Example: s1 := 'ab', String space, String cr, 'd', String space, String cr, 'ef'. s2 := 'ab', String cr, 'd', String cr, 'ef'. (DiffMorph from: s1 to: s2) openInWindow. In this example, d (on line 2) is highlighted while it should not IMHO. Hello, I am Roberto Minelli, a PhD student in the REVEAL research group at the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Lugano. I am exploring Smalltalk, and Pharo, for the first time and I am open to suggestions and tips & trick. Shortly I would like to work on something concrete to get in touch with Smalltalk. One of the things I am interested in, is retrieving entries from an existing PostgreSQL database. To this aim it would be great if some to you could point me in the right direction. ;) I also heard that there are some very cool "extensions" to the Pharo IDE (i.e., code completion, code browsing, etc). OrderedCollection detect: <- exception if not found?

SUnit - works in its own space?

a quick question on SUnit.. do tests run in their own space? say i have a model like User.. User has a class variable that is an ordered collection of of users..
