Hello everybody, I'm a recent Pharo user and I think it's pretty good. So I really want to help. I went on the bug tracker but it seems difficult for me to resolve this kind of issues for the moment. This brings me to a really simple question: How can I help ? Regard, Deathiop.

Intro and Invalid UTF8 message

Hi ... Ron Jeffries here. Long time (and long ago) Smalltalk user. Loving Pharo so far. However, I'm having some issues getting it set up nicely in Windows, especially Windows 7. I used the Windows one-click installer (and have also tried the zip file). Either way, Windows does not appear to recognize that Pharo is installed, so that when I try to set up a file association, pharo.exe doesn't get associated. (At one point, I did something that got it partly associated, but even then if i would click a .image file, I got a UTF8 error and the original image wound up opening.) It does work to drag a saved image onto pharo.exe. That's not quite as convenient as it might be but is livable certainly. Messing with sockets

Hello, I try to play with sockets in Pharo, and I encounter a strange error. Here is my code: |tempsock| Socket initialize. tempsock := Socket newTCP. tempsock listenOn: 12345 backlogSize: 4. [sock isNil] whileTrue:[sock:= tempsock waitForAcceptFor: 600]. sock sendCommand: 'Hello world!!'. sock ifNotNil: [[sock isConnected] whileTrue: [[sock waitForDataUntil:2000] ifTrue: [sock sendCommand:'Looping'. sock sendCommand: sock receiveData ]. ]]. sock closeAndDestroy. Once the connection is accepted, an exception is thrown in "sock waitForDataUntil:2000" by BlockCosure>>mustBeBooleanIn:context. From what I see, the signal "proceed for truth" is sent, and th debugger kicks in. How can I prevent the debugger from starting? Best regards, Geoffroy

Remote administration of VM(s)

Hello, Is there another mean of remote administration than VNC? VNC is nice, but if your internet connection is slow or buggy, it becomes hard to use. Is there a project about a command line interface (ncurses like) for Pharo? Also, how do you manage a lot of VMs? Is there some sort of monitoring and administration interface I can use? (I think that question is mostly directed at the seasidehosting.st folks) I think I saw an ESUG GSOC idea about that ( http://gsoc2010.esug.org/ideas#h-116 ). Best regards, Geoffroy

Hi I have a simple task of parsing some html content in Pharo (loading an html page using HTTPSocket and retrieving useful info from it). Having browsed for an html parser in my current one-click Pharo 1.0 image, I couldn't find one. How do I find/download a (the) HTML parser? Thank you, Andrei
