[ANN] OrderPreservingDictionary version 1.5.0

After - BitmapCharacterSet [1] - XMLWriter [2] were moved to "pharo-contributions" GitHub I also did a pass on OrderPreservingDictionary: https://github.com/pharo-contributions/OrderPreservingDictionary which is now available as 1.5.0 version (and also as moving tag 1.5.x in case we provide further hotfixes). Basically cleanups were applied: - add missing comments - cleanup packaging - fixing typos - adding tools group for GT extensions - align CI definitions with projects like Seaside - CI green again (throwing out non-working Gemstone, volunteers welcomed) - fix catalog entry - deprecating http://smalltalkhub.com/#!/~PharoExtras/OrderPreservingDictionary and http://smalltalkhub.com/#!/~Pharo/OrderPreservingDictionary You can load it using Metacello new baseline: 'OrderPreservingDictionary'; repository: 'github://pharo-contributions/OrderPreservingDictionary/src'; load or via catalog in Pharo 7 and 8. SIDE NOTE: ========== As of today XMLWriter still requires the "OrderPreservingDictionary" project as a dependency. OrderPreservingDictionary could be replaced by OrderedDictionary (same code, in the standard image) - I will do a pass on that later on. For now I focus on moving the XML stuff to GitHub first. Agree, sounds like a good idea. As far as I know newer versions do not do this. WebDav and CalDav in Pharo ?

Hi all, I do some experiments with iCal. For now I serve a full calendar over HTTP. Not bad, but it is read only. Iâd like to try CalDAV. I was looking for it, and also webDAV. Gofer it smalltalkhubUser: 'UdoSchneider' project: 'FileSystemNetwork'; configuration; load. #ConfigurationOfFileSystemNetwork asClass project stableVersion load: 'Webdav' Iâve found the project of Udo, but it doesnât load on P8. I think this is due to the stream refactoring. Right now the image hung. Iâll try maybe to load it manually. But I was wondering oof there were other alternatives ? TIA, CÃ©drick

I gave up working on this issue back in September because I had other things to do, but never resolved it â unless you call screen-sharing to another machine that does continue to run Pharo a "solution" As far as I can see, the problem is that my Pharo VM can't find the primitives that allow it to access the file system. This means that nothing that requires file system access âÂ including getting the sources âÂ will work. Of course, this makes no sense, because Iceberg had just loaded my code from the file system ... but perhaps using a different mechanism?
