I think this is because 6.1 cannot handle tonel. Hmm, all the repos that I mentioned in my previous email all use Tonel and run successfully in Travis CI for 7.0 and 6.1. I have no idea why you have problems, but you can try checking out any of mine. (I did have the same problem with the #useLatestMetacello: true option). Sven

Tonel difficulty

Iâve created a new repository and chose to use tonel for its file format. But as in my previous attempts I cannot make it work. I test my repo with travis for pharo 6.1 and pharo 7. Using SmalltalkCISpec { #loading : [ SCIMetacelloLoadSpec { #baseline : 'ArangoDB', #directory : 'source', #load : [ 'Tests' ], #platforms : [ #pharo ] } ] } it succeeds in pharo7 and fails in pharo 6.1. I think this is because 6.1 cannot handle tonel. But using SmalltalkCISpec { #loading : [ SCIMetacelloLoadSpec { #baseline : 'ArangoDB', #directory : 'source', #load : [ 'Tests' ], #useLatestMetacello: true, #platforms : [ #pharo ] } ] } makes it fail in pharo 7 as well. The following is a simplified version of the idea. A TextMorph actually can work as a text editor as the following example will show. I think this road can be extended for a nice extended Dynabook implementation A stack of boxes or cells following the Jupyter notebook idea. Later on put it into a window or re-implementation of a BookMorph (a 'light version'). Maybe in Pharo there are also other TextEditors which are fine. But a TextMorph seems to do the job. The first termination (Process A) fills the transfer variable /finishedDelay/ in DelaySpinScheduler>>unschedule: which is normally cleared by "timingSemaphore signal" waking up #handleTimerEvent: running at highestPriority. This is default in the latest builds. @Vincent, revising what I said elsewhere that the delay scheduler must be the only process running at highestPriority, I've realised that was an assumption I'd held without detailed consideration. Perhaps that is over constrained. Now understanding better the cause of the freeze, it only affects the spin-scheduler due to its busy-loop in the methods I'd considered only ran at user-priority. So other processes running at highestPriority is probably okay, as long as they have no busy loops. cheers -ben

Citezen (bibtex) reading - issue with optional comma after last tag

Hi all, I came across Citezen and its ability to read arbitrary bibtex files. While playing around, I noticed that the version available from the Pharo catalog cannot handle the optional finishing comma after the last tag. E.g. (from http://www.bibtex.org/Format/) Just adding the trailing comma would result in a SmaCCParserError (Token not expected). @article{mrx05, auTHor = "Mr. X", Title = {Something Great}, publisher = "nob" # "ody", YEAR = 2005, } Are you aware of any newer versions of Citezen? I tried to fix it on my own, but was not able to. I believe the idea is to ask yourself for your compiler self class compiler evaluate: '1+2' So I guess, globally the following would do Smalltalk compiler evaluate: '1+2'.
