Fastest matrix implementation?

Hi list In the context of a scientific project here we are building big matrices for later processing, mostly exporting to custom file formats for PLINK, HaploView, etc (bioinformatics tools). I've tested one of our scripts in both Pharo 1.1 (not CogVM) with the corresponding Python 2.6 implementation (without PyPy), and the performance in Python was superior, about 8x faster than ST. So I wonder if anyone knows the fastest (or a faster) implementation of Matrix than the included by default in Collections? what about using Seaside XUL ? I remember Esteban Lorenzano doing a desktop app that way in Pharo. Thanks for the quick response Sean, but I'm looking for a cross-platform solution and as far as I can see Mars is targeted at mac. Native Windows in Pharo

Hi list! I think I finally can start a small in-house project in Pharo, which makes me quite happy since I've been willing to do so for some time now. I have however to solve an issue before: is there a way of using native windows instead of the emulated ones? The app I have to work on is pretty much based on having different independent windows floating around :( . I saw the Native Windows thread that dates back to 2009 and couldn't find more information on the subject, so any pointers are much appreciated. Thanks in advance! AndrÃ©s

[Pharo] Checkbox

Hi, I have a problem with checkboxes. I'm trying to add a checkbox at each line of a table. I have tried several things(the last tries are in comments): addActionColumn columns add: ((WAReportColumn new) title: ''; valueBlock: [ :row :html | html span with:[ "checked ifTrue:[BibliList bibliCollection add: row]." html checkbox value: checked; onTrue:[BibliList bibliCollection add: row] onFalse:[]. "onClick: [checked := true]" "callback:[:value | value ifTrue: [BibliList bibliCollection add: row]]" ]]). Unfortunately, nothing seems to work...when I click on the checkbox, nothing happen and my list bibliCollection (which is an OrderedCollection) is still empty. Thx for your help alex

The progress is painfully slow for obvious reasons. Sometimes wish one can throw away the yoke of working for survival and just work on for research.. hope to reach there in the next couple of years..! But the target of getting some usable base I hope to publish through before end of month for sure.. and see if I can have it running full time for internal apps within my company as a starting point..
