VSE ObjectFiler / VW BinaryObjectStorage

Hi I'm trying to migrate VSE / VW code to Pharo. I have some "serialized" objects "dumped" with a class called ObjectFiler (VSE) or BynaryObjectStorage (VW). Those files are index files. They were "dumped" for a quick reload. I'm looking and I cannot find something similar in Pharo. Will I have to transfer those files to something else. I appreciate your help. The thing here is that some processes may not be aware there's a transaction running in the background, and could be reading or modifying objects which are involved in some transaction. So it wouldn't be possible for them to anticipate which objects should be accessed inside a lock.

I have some python scrtipts that I use to work with my smalltalk images. I will post them as soon as I get home (probably tomorrow) With this scripts you can do something like $ smalltalk open pharo 1.3 with cog which does what you expect although its quite hardcoded to my system and my needs so I will have to modify them a little bit before sharing to make them of any use for someone else. If I want to run a python program, I type "python myscript.py" in any terminal window. If I want to run a ruby program, I type "ruby myscript.rb". If I want to run a tcl program, I type "tclsh myscript.tcl" ... even gforth can be called this way. Actually I consider this an indispensable feature of a programming language running on a linux system. It's quasi-standard behavior. Earlier versions of squeak (eg. 3.9 and 3.10) had an installer. The VM does only preempt you when another higher prior process becomes runnable. There are a couple of things in the block class, like fork uninterruptible or so. You might want to use those. But you can also just raise your priority to the maximum manually. The relevant global for that is Processor.
