Spec problem creating dynamci UIs

I'm probably doing this all wrong, but I have a problem creating a dynamic UI with Spec. I want a small window which shows more information when a /Show more details/ button is clicked. Here's an example. <http://forum.world.st/file/n4747139/PharoScreenshot.6.png> when I click /Show More/ I want something like this (a bigger window with more fields): <http://forum.world.st/file/n4747139/PharoScreenshot.8.png> But when I change the Spec layout the window size remains the same as it was set in /initialExtent/ - so it does not display properly with the extra fields. <http://forum.world.st/file/n4747139/PharoScreenshot.7.png> I can't find any way of rebuilding the window so that it shows the bigger layout properly. Here's the spec for the basic window: *basicSpec* <spec: #default> |row1| row1 := SpecLayout composed newRow: [ :row | row add: #label1; add: #field1 ] height: self inputTextHeight; yourself. ^SpecLayout composed newColumn:[:column| column add:row1; addSplitter; add:#btnMode height: self toolbarHeight ; addSplitter]. Here's the spec for the detailed window: *detailedSpec* <spec> |row2 row3| row2 := SpecLayout composed newRow: [ :row | row add: #label2; add: #field2 ] height: self inputTextHeight ; yourself. row3 := SpecLayout composed newRow: [ :row | row add: #label3; add: #field3 ] height: self inputTextHeight ; yourself. ^SpecLayout composed newColumn: [ :column | column add: self basicSpec; add: row2; add:row3 ]; yourself. Is it working yet?

Hi Guys, Every so often I spend a few minutes taking a look a Pharo or Squeak. I can see much improvement but before long I find something that does not work. 1) I'm a Widows user and there is no keyboard mapping for switching the alt to control keys 2) I tried the debugger and the "Add breakpoint" menu command appears to corrupt the stepping into behavior. 3) Next I tried the new Spec website. Should the code on the Quick Start page read. (ListModel new items: Smalltalk allClasses) openWithSpec. Thanks, Steve

I'd love to have my preferences files set it all up, yes! This is really good and very well done and can only get better over time. I'd like to see a complete API and description of every Spec Model added to the site and there needs to be multiple examples so that the whole range of widgets and interface types are shown. Can it be flagged as a "Must Fix" for a 3.1 release ? It is very easy to have more than one browser open and that becomes even more problematic on a 10" screen ( even tho' I try to work with dual monitors and one a 27" with good resolution, the small screen is a fact of hardware sales and inexpensive devices world-wide, is it not ? And I have the luxury of a comfortable office of my own ... but that is just because I am part of a global "1%" habitation-wise, I should think ... whereas my dream for Smalltalk is Africa, India, China, Malayasia, Indonesia, Tibet, Mongolia ...
