MOOC mistakes

I will use this thread to point some mistakes in MOOC first here Introduction -General Interface - English version https://www.fun-mooc.fr/courses/inria/41010/session01/courseware/f46620814d… it says "Zone2: upload videos in 3 different formats in order to view them offline" I assume by "upload" you mean "download"

I suggest to follow some videos too because there are some advanced points and also ways to present concepts. We prefered to do it in french to make sure that we have an excellent french versions instead of a average english one. Now all the texts are in english (and some in french) All the mooc material will be freely accessible at the end of the mooc session. AWS Version 4 authentication + streaming upload

Hi Sven, For AWS regions created after Jan 30 2014, AWS requires one to use version 4 of their authentication scheme (http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/API/sig-v4-authenticating-reques…) It describes a header and request signing process that is more involved than version 2 that is implemented in the Zinc AWS client. Sho Yoshida has already made an AWS client (https://github.com/newapplesho/aws-sdk-smalltalk) that works great for their version 4 non-streaming uploads to S3. It uses Zinc. I'm planning to add streaming and had some questions for you about how Zinc does streaming and where/how I should make some modifications. When streaming an upload you have to SHA256 each chunk of file data and attach its SHA to the subsequent chunk. The initial chunk gets the first chunk of file data and the SHA256 of the secret key. The last chunk is empty and has the SHA256 of the last chunk of file data. That is all described here http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/API/sig-v4-header-based-auth.html. and example request is here http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/API/sigv4-streaming.html#example… My first inclination is to subclass ZnStreamingEntity, give the subclass an instVar to hold the secret key hash. And then extend ZnUtils to do all the hashing and extending of the stream in a frankenstein #awsHashedStreamFrom:to:size: . Does that seem like a reasonable approach? Do I need to adapt the server logic at all? It seems like I wouldn't. Thanks Paul

Hehe Well I am not the target audiance anyway, this MOOC will be most likely a lenghty introduction of Pharo to necomers and I no longer consider myself one. In the end this is a technicality , I dont care about the language, its the content that matters and subtitles are more than enough. I think that's because most people see quickly the video which has not English subtitles so they think all the course is only in French (at least that was my case). My process of self learning is too much problem oriented, too lonely, so a formal course is a great way to improve my several understanding gaps (which I show frequently here!, last one on following Sven advices). Changing the meta key

Hello everyone, I wanted to know how to change the meta key, i find it more comfortable tu use the alt key on windows instead of the control key. So i tried to change Win32Plateform >> defaultModifier to "^ KMModifier alt" It doesn't seem to work, maybe i missed a step, could you enlighten me ? Thanks, Merwan
