DBXTalk/Garage: GAMySQLDriver#execute: raises exception when int field is NULL

Hello Not sure where else to post this. I have posted what looks like a bug in the GAMySQLDriver#execute: selector. Here is the bug report on tracker: https://github.com/guillep/DBXTalk/issues/8. But there is very, very little activity there or in the DBXTalk Google discussion group. Is DBXTalk/Garage still considered a supported means of interfacing to an existing database (like MySQL or PostgreSQL)? I had tried this, however my application is fairly interactive, and Glorp proxies require the session to be logged in to operate correctly, so it doesn't work in my situation, unfortunately. I guess I'll write a startup script that closes and re-opens the session (I don't want to have to close everything when saving an image). Thanks again, Alistair

[ANN] file dialog replacement experiment

Hi, last week I stitched together a simple file dialog replacement and today I managed to somewhat finish it. There is still a lot to be desired, but right now it supports things that were the most pain for me: * list of most common places (home, root, image directory, temp) * custom bookmarks by dragging folders from file-pane to bookmark-pane * toggle hidden files (right-click on file listing) * preset file name * filtering files by extensions or patterns and toggling between filters * synchronous and asynchronous mode â You can use it independently of Pharo's native dialogs FDOpenFileDialog new extensionFilters: {'STON files' -> #(ston). 'All files' -> #()}; defaultFolder: FileLocator imageDirectory asFileReference; openModal Or if you feel brave, I have an extended UIManager that will use thisâ¦, and then you can use regular manager commands UIManager default chooseFileMatching: #('*.ston') but you can always go back FDMorphicUIManager new beDefault. "use new dialogs" MorphicUIManager new beDefault. "use old dialogs" and of course the installation itself (I'll add it to catalog soon after I find a way to autogenerate configurations from git tags) Metacello new baseline: 'FileDialog'; repository: 'github://peteruhnak/file-dialog/repository'; load. TL;DR: AbstractNautilusUI>>buildNewCodeSourceAreaRubric comment out "withSourceCodeAnnotation;" howto (less than a minute to do): 1. open finder (world > tools > finder) 2. punch in 'Format as you read' and search "source" 3. take a deep breath or two while its searching 4. open found class 4.1. look at hierarchy and try figure out how it's called from Nautilus 4.2. class is not referenced :( â¦ but "class" side is bold so there's something there 4.3. on class side method "key:" returning suspicious selector 4.4. search senders of the selector 5. see who is the sender of the sender 6. profit :) I actually use such approach quite often when trying to figure out UI things and it works surprisingly often.
