Hi, For the moment it seems that Pharo + SQLite3 + JSON1 will not be needed. NeoJSON is making an excellent work for querying the JSON file. By the way, I was testing with Punqlite and the installation process is very friendly. It even load the unqlite.so and puts it in the proper location (but I'm using NeoJSON just fine). Hi, Yes, object properties in JSON are not ordered, by definition. But for humans it can make sense. Converting your domain objects to OrderedDictionaries or overwriting #neoJSONOn: are valid ways to control NeoJSON. However, I also think that it might be possible to solve the ordering requirement with a regular mapping, provided I make a little internal change - I will investigate that and report back. Hilaire, If you want to generate the SQL statements by hand you can use the UDBC SQLite3 driver, or if you want o use an ORM you can use Glorp. Because data comes from a JSON dump, I would like to use the JSON1 extension of SQLite, [3][4], which means compiling it by myself from SQLite amalgamation and putting the binary in a place where UDBCSQLite3 is aware of it. I'm on a Linux 64 bits machine and I have sqlite2 32 bits binary from the distro repositories. So I discovered OrderedDictionary for the first time. I am pleased to see that this is the key to the solution. I have read through the information in the NeoJSON pdf, and also looked at the class comments, but I am a bit lost. Could Sven or anyone please give me a hint? What I want is to construct a JSON object as a Pharo dictionary, but then control the order in which the fields are output to the JSON file. Clearly the order is irrelevant for a computer, but it could be helpful to a human reader to put them in an order which reflects the way humans think about the objects.
