Hi everyone, I've been working to "rescue" the new file-dialog originally published by Peter Uhnak with additions of other contributors. This should load in Pharo 10 and 11: https://github.com/hernanmd/file-dialog One thing I've been doing is trying to use it a little bit to evaluate its usability and add details to improve the filters, make all tests pass and minor issues for example. As you can see there are some layout alignment details left, but they are not so important as to make the dialog unusable. Cheers, HernÃ¡n

[ANN] Stemmer uFFI binding

Hello, Stemming is a well-known technique for information retrieval which maps different forms of the same word to a common "stem". This, for example, enables the grouping of words with the same root. This new package provides a Pharo uFFI wrapper for the fast thread-safe C library implementation (English stemmer). I recall that that Norbert was doing some interesting cms stuff (check old messages, or maybe he will chip in). Pharo CMS

Hi everyone, I was looking for a Pharo CMS. I got the Pier one-click image from www.piercms.com, but it seems there is a hardcoded path in the image. I get the error message: Pharo cannot write to the changes file named /private/var/folders/ImndBm_rpdOz3Bpyfiqvv0d4dc000Ogn/T/AppTranslocation/24424,42 BEB3 4E. BBC5 CMFBIElgi12/3/35/d/Pier app/Contents/Resources/Pier.changes (the image is not there but in my ~/Downloads folder). Any ideas how I can fix this? And what does Pharo.org use for its CMS? thanks, Siemen

And with pharo we discourage the use of not open source libraries. > If the latter, may I suggest you offer to transfer the repo(s) to a willing party? > I wrote the message upfront so any party that wants to follow on that should fork. No need to transfer. When I'm removing the repo the forked repo gets detached automatically. So go and help yourself. Norbert
