Milton will probably correct me tomorrow, but in the meantime. You need to send the message #refresh to the RoassalPresenter. This will trigger the "script" that should have been defined. (At least that's how it has worked for me). Hi I have a roassal pane in my inspector to display quadtrees. I added the possibility to add a point to the inspected quadtree. But the pane does not refresh I have to do it by hand and I would like to know how I can force the inspector to refresh

Eelco Visser Commemorative Symposium â 2nd Call for Papers

Due to the untimely passing of Eelco Visser, members of his former research communities TU Delft, CWI, OOPSLA, SLE, and IFIP Working Groups 2.11 & 2.16 have joined in organizing the Eelco Visser Commemorative Symposium. The event will be held on the occasion of the first anniversary of his passing in April of next year. His research career started with studies at the University of Amsterdam and CWI, followed by appointments at Oregon Graduate Institute and Utrecht University. He was highly influential in the software language engineering and programming language design communities. His many scientific contributions about meta-languages and domain-specific languages have been of high importance in both the scientific and industrial communities. He was a founding member of IFIP Working Groups 2.11 (Program Generation) and 2.16 (Programming Language Design). Eelco Visserâs work on the cutting-edge language workbench Spoofax started with a ground-breaking publication in 2010, for which he received a Most Influential Paper award at OOPSLA 2020. As a strong advocate of tool-supported programming education, he led the development of WebLab, a learning management system that is in use for a range of programming languages and courses at TU Delft. Hi Kasper, There is `Smalltalk highResClock` that should be what youâre looking for. It's still not available in ARM64 builds, we need to define it using some handwritten assembly. Pharo nanoseconds or clock ticks

Cheers I am looking for a way to get to the nanosecond or clock ticks of my computer as I want to do some rather low level performance measurements. I have not been able to find it. I am on macos. Is it already in the image, or is there a library I can to load? Best, Kasper

A couple of years ago, I prototyped something between a static site generator and a decoupled/headless CMS, called Brea[1] and we did a lot of extensive workshops to teach how to use it. The site (in Spanish) for the workshops and documentation of Brea is made using Brea and you can see it at [2]. It tries to address the documentation needs of the local communities which use diverse places to write documentation (HegdeDoc, Internet Archive) and want to consolidate them in a unified place. We're now discussing to integrate Brea with TiddlyWikiPharo[3] as TiddlyWiki has become an integral part of our documentation practices and maybe we could try another take on it if we get enough resources for that. Yes, the storage of code meta data is something that we should re-think. The current way is kind of the most simple thing that worked, but it has many downsides. And it is another example of the interesting thing that, as soon we think of code (and thus the model of the language itself), we stop thinking in terms of Objects.
