Pharo VM Release - v9.0.11

Hello, I have released a new version of the Pharo VM for Pharo 9 and Pharo 10. This VM is accessible right now from Zero-Conf, updating it in the Pharo Launcher or using the usual downloads (as described in pharo.org/download) This version includes a series of minor bug fixes. Changelog: - Include FloatArrayPlugin in the build - Updating SDL2 to 2.0.18 for OSX X86_64 - Using Pharo 10 image as VMMaker image - Fixing issue in message counting on non-JIT VM Thanks a lot, and any doubt please let me know. A thought occurred to me.Â I use a ERA100SharedPool to hold the CurrentProject global variable, for access by the classes in my model. I ran a test on the offending image to retrieve and inspect the contents of CurrentProject which is a reference to ERAProject.Â Each time an instance of an ERAElement subclass is created an entry is added to a Dictionary of instances of the relevant subclass.Â It still holds instances of the Component Subclass created during one of my unit tests.Â I wonder if this may be a clue as it is essentially a hanging reference to the subclass.Â I probably should have a tear-down method to clean up such references. Hi Guillermo As I explained to Stephane, unfortunately I am not able t remember exactly what I did as I didnât notice the problem until sometime later. I assume I removed it through the UI.Â I have since been working with programmatically creating subclasses having exported the relevant packages to a fresh image.Â It all seems to work as expected. I created a Class âERAElementâ and four subclasses: âComponentâ, âCriticalIssueâ, âDecisionâ and âRequirementâ. A while ago I removed he subclass Component, and naturally Pharo will not let me create an instance of this subclasses.Â However it is still listed in the ERAElement subclass collection. As shown below. I can test for existence of each subclass as shown below: However the same code will not accept Component as a possible value. I can even create a new Subclass Component and get two (different) subclasses with the same name. Any thoughts as to what is going on and if so how to resolve the problem? FOSDEM2022

Dear all, Pharo-Webview works on Windows 10 64-bit and Linux 64-bit (tested on Ubuntu 20.04). The needed webview.so dynamic library is available within the repository at https://github.com/eftomi/Pharo-Webview. On Linux use headless VM. There's also a webview.dylib for MacOS if someone wants to try it (built on Monterey), however I wasn't successful on this platform, despite the fact that I tried TFWorker and TFMainThreadRunner approaches, too. I'm also not keen on Cocoa. The library itself lacks a better support for webview create-destroy mechanisms although it could be upgraded. I achieved my needed functionality and unfortunatelly don't have time to continue. Maybe I'll continue in next months, but according to my experiences so far it would be better to choose a slightly heavier but cleaner Photino (https://www.tryphotino.io/) or something else. Or maybe to work on pure Pharo approach :-) One of the interesting challenges is a double nature of Pharo - interactive and "headless" mode - meaning that the application runs without Pharo GUI. It'd be nice if both approaches would be possible. The library that I used builds on the headless idea, where the main GUI loop is supposed to be taken over by the webview, which is the main reason for "create-destroy" challenge if you use it interactively. This multiplied by USER32.DLL, Gtk3, and Cocoa ... Best wishes, Tomaz
