Hello, To read mp3 metadata you should rely on an id3 parser (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ID3) I use/develop this one: https://github.com/pharo-media-center/id3-pharo You can also use the libvlc binding (https://github.com/badetitou/Pharo-LibVLC) I know we can use it to get the metadata, most of the code is already written normally, but I did not achieve to make it works (I should spend some time on it soon). Widgets API is more or less compatible, chances are that your components will work out of the box or it will be rewritten by a deprecation rule. What is not compatible and there I not auto migration is the layout. You will need to rewrite those. Extracting MP3 metadata

One of the projects I am working on requires the reading of mp3 metadata. I see this is covered all over the place in different languages, but I donât see one for Pharo/Smalltalk. Does anyone know off hand of something like this? Would it be worthwhile to do something like this in Smalltalk, or would it be a better idea to find and executable somewhere, run it, and parse the data there? guys, is there any "official" documentation on spec 2? I found a video on youtube, a slide deck from a presentation, and this github page: https://github.com/dionisiydk/Spec2 It seems to have some sort of integration with gtk, but not too much documentation. - Steve

Hi, I do have a workspace I call PersistentWorkspace. I use it as a sticky note, see the above example.Â Easy to create, easy to store. Its file name is <window name>.ws (e.g., 'BB1IDE appname.ws'). A new instance is opened from the WorldMenu. An existing instance is opened from a file list. Its object structure is very simple as can be seen in the attached object structure snapshot. Its code is in the attached .st-file. There is an serious downside: The program works inÂ 'Squeak3.10.2'. I know there are unused methods. I'm sure there are some bugs. Â It works for me and I often use it. It may or may not be easy to port it to Pharo.
