Spec2 demos

Hey guys, Forgive the naive question, but does anyone know how to open the demos in Spec2? The package "Spec2-Examples" has a few example objects that I would like to toy with: SpDemo SpDemoButtonsPresenter SpCheckBoxExample "SpDemo openInWorld" is not working.

Thanks, Mariano. Wish I had known about the Portland event; I might have made arrangements to take time off & attend it. How often do they have west-coast events? I'm currently generating interest in the L.A. area for Pharo/Smalltalk, with the idea of eventually coordinating regular meetups. There's a fairly active technical community in my area, with many users groups using meetup.com for SIGs. Hi Richard For âPrint itâ representations of objects, you can browser the #printOn: method of the class of that object. For ScaledDecimal, it is: printOn: aStream "Append an approximated representation of the receiver on aStream. Use prescribed number of digits after decimal point (the scale) using a rounding operation if not exact" self printOn: aStream showingDecimalPlaces: scale. Cool! If that helps, I'm currently working on a "custom" type of collection used for sampling objects based on probabilities. Should be ready in a few days if anyone's interested. For lack of a better word, it's currently called "SamplingSet". To make a long story short, I'm using this to generate random data that mimics the statistical properties of those objects in the real world. For example, if I'm generating last names for say an instance of class Person for Russia, chances are you should very rarely get any "St-Jean" as opposed to "Ivanov" so this collection samples those last names accordingly based on their probabilities. So all that SamplingSet does is return a random object that respects the statistical probability of such an occurrence. I'm working on a few optimizations as I'm having to deal with sets of a few million items and right now, the 4M mark seems to be hard to break without paying a high price.Â But I should be done withing a week or so.
