casting to subclass

Hi all, it seems like we cannot cast the class of object to its subclass if that subclass has had new instance variables added to it: http://forum.world.st/changing-the-class-of-an-existing-object-to-a-subclas… But I (think) I need it - I'm transforming a DOM tree from XMLHTMLParser's XMLElement s to a subclass of Iliad's ILHTMLBuilderElement s, and for single occurences I would like to use the more specific subclasses, like ILCheckboxElement. I can make the cast manually, I know when it is safe to do. What else could I do, apart from removing the element from its tree, creating a new (subclass) instance and then putting this element in place of the old one? Some #perform or `super` magic..? hm.. thanks for any pointers! -- Siemen

[Isssue tracker] Name change: Manuscript

Hello, Many of you are already wondering why you get spammed by âmanuscript.comâ. The reason is that Fog Creek Software changed the name of FogBugz to âManuscriptâ. The old URLs are still valid, *but* they started to send all emails with the manuscript name instead some time ago. We have started to change all websites that mention the domain, too, but for sure there will be cases where the old name will be used for quite some timeâ¦ Marcus

[Issue Tracker] lots of "auto close" happening

Hello, As you might now, we automatically close issue tracker entries after 1 year of in-activity. Due to two factors (the job doing it not working since 1 month *and* now being 1 year after we started to sort issues for âhas to be fixed for pharo6 yes or noâ, we enter a period where *a lot* of issue get auto-closed. Everyone subscribed to the issue gets a mail and (of course!!) you should re-opne the issue tracker entry if the case still is relevant. Marcus

Hi Hilaire, is it possible that is the wrong image? This is a 32bits image, and it is around 52 MB, quite similar to the Pharo base image. Thanks. There is a PBKDF2 package made by Udo Schneider, and seems to be easily pluggable with a different hashing algorithm, so I'd need a SHA512 class. Thanks in advance. Regards. Esteban A. Maringolo
