The help browse is more for a detailed documentation , my goal is more concise and tooltip based. But yes it could be embeded in the Help browser too. I think that interactive documentation is more beginner friendly, where documentation is everywhere you go and you do not have to open a special tool to get it. Exporting Packages to Cincom Smalltalk (VisualWorks)

Is there any exporter than can convert an RPackage into a VW Parcel (.pst), in XML or Chunk format? I need to migrate a few libraries of my own and couldn't find anything, so I'm asking before start writing something :) Regards! Esteban A. Maringolo

1 mb is not big for git , 1 gb is. It's small. I version control blender files of 100-500mbs with ease . Git is always very fast. I have used image files (PNG) for my project ChronosManager ,it fetches them together with the repo, they sit in their own image folder inside the repo folder that contains the code . I then open them with a path I get using filesystem currentdirectory method and then I navigate inside the folder searching using the name of folderminside the github-cache subfolder. You can find the code in that project. Don't know if that is the best way to do this , it works for me. I also check to make sure that images are not already loaded in the image because git may be fast but Pharo is very slow when loading PNG files. I load them once and save the image in them and I reload only if I change one of the PNGs. I have also created a mechanism to detect whether there is an update in the github repo and only then pull the git repo. It's a cheap hack where I put version info in the README which I access online and parse. I have created this way an auto update API. I could fine tune it to provide precise meta data of which png is updated and fetch only that but I have not felt the need so far to do this. Hi Peter, In BioSmalltalk I download and extract all test files in the Configuration and then use a method in abstract test class to access test files. Hi, Take a look at the SmaCCParseNode to see the API to traverse the resulting AST. Furthermore, you can also use the query engine that SmaCC ships with. In your case, you seem to be interested only in the one argument of the find call. So, you can do this: ast := JSParser parse: 'db.SomeCollection.find( {$or: [ { name: { $regex: /test/i } }, {description: { $regex: /test/i } } ] } )'. pattern := JSParser parse: '`something`.find(`arg1`)' startingAt: JSParser startingStateForExpression. matches := OrderedCollection new. ast withAllNodesDo: [:each | mapping := Dictionary new. (pattern match: each inContext: mapping) ifTrue: [ matches add: (each -> (mapping associations collect: [:assoc | assoc key name -> assoc value]) asDictionary) ] ]. matches. The âmatchesâ variable will contain all matches of all find arguments. In our case, you can do: (matches anyOne value at: 'arg1â) and this will give you the literal node with the argument from your script: {$or: [ { name: { $regex: /test/i } }, {description: { $regex: /test/i } } ] } Next, you would need to parse the contents of the source as a JSON document. For example, the NeoJSONReader would be able to get the dictionary you need like this: NeoJSONReader fromString: '{"or": [ { "name": { "regex": "/test/i" } }, {"description": { "regex": "/test/i" } } ] }â Note that the sources contain ââ, so this means that you would need to traverse the original source through a visitor and print it so that you can parse it with a JSON parser.
