Voyage and duplicated entry

Hi, I have strange behavior when saving object: when I edit then save, I got a duplicated entry in the repository collection. Some description about the object: This object class is part of a hierarchy class, where the top is defined as voyage root. In this object, hash and = are redefined. Any pointer? why is concat of Symbols a string?

Hi, why is the concatenation of symbols a string? e.g. #desc, #Name -> 'descName' this means that I have to always wrap in parentheses and recast, or stream it, e.g. (#desc, #Name) asSymbol -> #descName Symbol streamContents: [ :s | s << #desc; << #Name ] -> #descName both of which introduce extraneous syntactical clutter. The technical reason seems to be ByteSymbol>>#species returning ByteString, but I have no idea why it has to be this complicated. Thanks, Peter

It is really possible and we are working on a new implementation of talents based on anonymous classes. Now what you should know is that - i would use this mechanism for debugging/tooling - i would try to avoid this as much as possible for domain modeling because it breaks all the hidden assumptions we have. stef > Hi Steven . Pablo I would not use talents. You can use an anonymous classes. Some more clues: in my application if I go in other part where these attributes are used for some simulation, the attributes are resolved as expected. Then when I go back the other part the select is working. On more hints: the attribute collection seems to resolve fine, so proxy is working, however the objects in collection come with attribute which is a root, and it is this *one* which does not resolve. Of course when I inspect it is resolved, but the select: bloc does not get it right. I am pretty sure this part of the model is functional because these data were previously persisted/restored just fine with Fuel. I will try to dig for more clues.
