Phobos and printing

Hi Pavel, Is there a way to ask a PhobosHTMLCanvas instance to print an html file. I have html files built from Mustache templates and I try to send it to the print dialog via Phobos. So far I send an entire locale html file content via #rawXML: message, but I got mix results, the style does not seem to be taken in consideration. Thanks Hilaire -- Dr. Geo http://drgeo.eu

Yes. This trick is handy but totally confusing. I think that self in playground should return nil. because self only makes sense in method body and inspector pane. After all, comments have an absolute position in the hierarchy. Its not like you can evaluate the comment from a subclass. On class-side "self" seems okay in comments, since it means the same thing as in code. Hi Sergio, You probably overlooked the option to add a mapping to the class side. Check the implementors of #neoJsonMapping: In your case, all you have to do is add the following method. RadioStation class>>#neoJsonMapping: mapper mapper for: self do: [ :mapping | mapping mapInstVars ] I can't help you with Teapot though. Legal JSON is legal JSON, that is what NeoJSON produces. [NeoJSON] creating custom maps

Okay, I am having the worst time with this.. i have a class called RadioStation that for now, just had Â few text instance variables. all I really need to do is turn this into JSON.. i can do it with something like: String streamContents: [ :stream | Â Â (NeoJSONWriter on: stream) Â Â Â prettyPrint: true; Â Â Â mapInstVarsFor: RadioStation; Â Â Â nextPut: (RadioStation SelectAll last) ].Â Â Â Â Â but this seems like massive overkill.. plus, very soon, this is going to have collections of other objects.. also, since this returns a string.. when Teapot returns this, it escapes all of the âs and produces illegal json, as itâs just a string.. i read about mappers, but i canât figure out how to create them.. doing something simple like: | mapper server | mapper := NeoJSONMapper new. mapper mapAllInstVarsFor: RadioStation. mapper mappings. In browser we can add some pluggability to specify what instance use for playing in context of selected class or method. By default it could be just "self new". It will gives many interesting options: - when "examplar" method is selected "self" will point to describing instance. - when browser is opened from debugger or inspector "self" will point to current object from these tools. - type hints. No type inference - just live information - LightTable features. When method is selected, it executed in background and browser collects and show live data: temp types, values, execution could, dead code, also visualization if possible. So it could add many power to our environment.
