difficult to kill objects - pesky hanging pointersTo

Sometimes its *really* hard to kill some objects. It seems that inspecting a list of pointersTo creates additional hanging references. This was frustrating me just now, so I finally hacked a way forward. Sharing it in case its useful to others, and also I can find it again searching the list. This needs to run for each object. Smalltalk garbageCollect. target := ClassOfObjectsThatMustDie allInstances first. SystemNavigation default allObjectsDo: [ :e | (e isKindOf: Association) ifTrue: [ e value = target ifTrue: [ e value: nil ] ]. (e isKindOf: Array) ifTrue: [ 1 to: e size do: [ :i | (e at: i) = target ifTrue: [ e at: i put: nil ] ] ] ]. target := nil. Smalltalk garbageCollect. cheers -ben

NeoCSV: Interdependent Field

How (if at all) can one handle parsing when fields depend on one another? It seems that it would be helpful to have access to the currently constructed object in field converters, but it doesn't look like that is possible... Hi Paul I checked you submission and we cannot simply remove the bar. For example people like me use a lot the format and and we should have a way to activate it. So either we propose a setting or we make sure that the format as you read button is available somewhere. Hi Paul Tx Pay attention that you should use the latest alpha version and publish in the pharo60 inbox. We cannot check all repositories this is too much works and the integration tool only look into one inbox. Lint Rule for Class-Side Method

I'm probably missing something obvious, but it seems like #checksMethod Lint Rules only get checked against instance-side methods. How does one check class-side methods? I converted it to a #checksClass rule, but then hits showed the class definition instead of the offending method source. Current Preferred Git Tool

I've mostly use bare filetree (so not to install anything), and sometimes GitFileTree (eliminates a few steps), but I see there's a lot of activity in other projects. Is anything production-ready?
