It indicates with a little yellow (for me :) ) corner yes (also, if I cntr+z all changes the corner does not goes away). It shows a changes browser also, but it doesn't help much, usually I just click Ok if only my code is affected. Wouldn't be good if a warn popup is prompted telling me I have changes that will be lost? Refactoring changed method

Hello, While I was editing a method, if I do a rename temporary refactoring the system rollbacks every change I did to the method in order to apply the refactoring. Is that the correct behavior? Shouldn't It at least asks me if I want to save my changes before I apply the refactoring? It was really confusing the first time it happened and it took some time before I could understand what happened. Regards, Vitor

There are two; without nuscratch package loaded, it's an old interpreter (squeak script in /usr/bin launches /usr/lib/squeak/4.*), with nuscratch loaded (which it should be by default in recent Raspbian versions...), it's a cog vm. For instance, while FFI plugin ships with Pharo VM, you may (as I did on cursory testing with the vm linked above) get failing float/double call tests (60262 image), or downright crashes due to illegal instructions (latest 5.0 image) OSProcessPlugin shipped (externally) with the squeak cog vm has been sort of hit-and-miss, on above pharo vm it's built internal and seems to be working (but curiously, has no canonical source version from which it was generated in the Modules list...). If you plan on developing on the Pi rather than just deploying to, switching to Bitmapped Fonts asap is a good idea; iirc the work that was done to provide optimized arm-assembly primitives included (bitmap) font rendering. Disabling auto-complete and syntax-highlighting (that seem to tend to cause frequent noticeable pauses), and commenting out "write-entire-contents-to-file-every-keystroke" functionality from Playground code (so your SD-card doesn't die a premature death), are other small ways to make a less jarring experience of it. Or, framework use allowing, you could save yourself a lot of work flow interruption frustration and develop using a Squeak image instead. Cheers, Henry

I would not hold my breath if I were you for 3 reasons 1) this idea will go through only if my direct bridge via shared memory between Pharo and Unreal fails are is proven very limited, which I highly doubt. 2) even if I proceed with it, I will certainly be specialised for Unreal and have little interest in covering C++, huge and ugly syntax. So it will probably be just a few steps further than CCodeGenerator than a full implementation. 3) I am interested in producing readable C++ code, which makes this project even harder long term though I could proceed with this anyway if I deem it useful under specific scenarios. To really make this tempting for C++ coders would need a full implementation. But in any case as I said, its very low priority for me, just a worse case scenario that I would try to avoid as much as I can.
