It seems that the Chromium issue is most likely a result of them switching from GTK to Aura, since it broke in version 35 (when Aura was introduced). So unless someone wants to dive into Pharo VM or Chromium then there is really no simple solution. I am familiar with RTBezierLine (I mentioned it in the original question), but what I was wondering about was whether controllingElements: should be added to RTMultiLine (so it will be handled internally just like in BezierLine), or leave it as is and let the user handle it from outside - as demonstrated by the example I posted. I am successful using Pharo + Roassal/Mondrian in analyzing and visualizing IT architecture models. And it is real fun. :-) But it is always good the see, what is happening outside the "camp" ... and yes, if i find outside better solutions to my problems i move forward ...
